I was hoping this wouldn't happen until after our case was processed, but of course (TSC mad.gif )....

Anyway, my company just told me that they are relocating me by Dec. 1st and they are offering us temporary living while we hunt for a new place. Any suggestions on what to do in this situation? Do we notify USCIS with a change of address to the hotel we'll be at, a P.O. box, or wait till we've actually relocated to our permanent address? I'm leaning towards waiting since I don't want to give them a reason to scrutinize our case anymore. I'd really appreciate any advice! Thank you!

i think you should change your address even if it is just a temporary change....

you can file the AR-11 online and it changes your address on most pending cases...

As always, thanks for the helpful advice and info. It's necessary to change address for the affidavit of support too right?

What do you think if we have our mail forwarded/held, find a new place right away, return to meet the movers and then change addresses in no longer than 2-3 weeks? Has anyone heard of the card/notices being sent to the previous address even though it had been updated? I'd be concerned if there was a chance that ours would go to the hotel, especially since we'd still be paying rent at the address they have?
