Radu & Mari
Hi All, smile.gif
It's been a while since I posted a question but I'm always here viewing the stories and events of the VJ members to see if I can assist in any way. wink.gif
My husband Radu has been here with me in Florida since May 3rd, 2007. He has a conditional residence card. We were wondering if its possible to bring his sister here from Romania on a visitor's visa and how difficult the process is. We were wondering if anyone has gone through the process of bringing a family member other than a parent or a child in to the USA. We have heard that the US Consulate in Bucharest very seldom gives out visas of those kind and we were wondering if anyone out there has experienced this problem or have been able to obtain a visa for a family member.
Please advice helpsmilie.gif

Thank you all again for all the support Radu and I have gotten in the past, and for those of you still waiting keep the faith and put it all in the Lord's hand. He will make it happen. God Bless! heart.gif

We did it for my sister in law and she got a 10 year visa, it's difficult for youngster to get tourist visa there, but everything went well, that was India, so i am not sure what's the situation in Bucharest. Check around you'll see the sample letter i had posted on one forum.

I am from Moldova. I have brought my brother and my parents to the US over time and last time my mom got a 10-year visa. The US Embassy in Moldova has become better with long-term visas this year, so who knows - maybe the Bucharest one has too?
If the sister is married and/or has some ties in Romania, it would be easier to get that first visa. Aftewards it's much easier.
