CSC received my I-129f on September 25th but still no receipt from them. I have seen many, many other people on here who sent this same form after me who received their receipt soon after. Why are they so inconsistent? Does this put me behind since I have not received my receipt and the people who have received their receipt but sent they paperwork after me, are they now ahead of me in processing time? I've been told it is now taking them about 4 months to approve the I-129f, is this going from the date they receive it or the date of the receipt?

With USCIS you just don't know, however, their official quote on this is that they are honouring the original received date, not the NOA1 date, so it shouldn't impact your petition:-

QUOTE
Date Received in Mailroom – USCIS will honor the actual date that an application was received in our mailroom; this date will be indicated on the receipt (in the Received Date box) when Form I-797, Notice of Action, is mailed. You can see a sample Form I-797 under "Related Links" on this page. If your case is affected by the receipt delay, arrival of your receipt may take up to 12 weeks for adjustment-of-status applications and 15 weeks for naturalization and other applications.

Not sure AJS just joined this great forum to get me through this whole mess. Mine was sent to Texas on August 28th and hubbie is UK, me USA, and still waiting. To entertain my heart, I do call them once a week to see how things are and they are quite pleasant but again can not get any firm answer except wait until November 29th - about 90 days yes?

Again we filed 1 129 1 130/K3 all together so maybe soon our lawyer will have receipt from them. Thank god we have the lawyer as the Royal Mail over in the UK cant deliver mail in a timely fashion so makes up for any more negative thoughts.

Cheers and good luck to you.

btw.....what i was told by USCIS is that basically its six months from the file being received at their office and not being entered into the system. Do I believe this, I want to, but will just have to regroup my frustration and see.

Best of luck to you and again, I find this forum a great place to visit in wee morning hours when I cant sleep blush.gif

C and J: Thank you for that info! It's a bit of a relief knowing they honor the date they received the form.

SusieK: I totally understand how you feel, and I just joined this site and wished I would have discovered it months ago. When I called them about my receipt, they told me the same thing- wait 90 days from the date we received it and call us back. Frustrating!!

Hi. My fiance received our 1st NOA but he lost it so we don't know our case number and it's been more than three months and haven't heard from them. Do you think we should call the National Customer Service Center if we can get our case number?
Thanks
