I did not see a thread yet started for November Filers. I just wanted to say hello and hopefully our process is swift.
I sent in my I-129F (K-1) today Nov. 5, 2007. I've been lurking on this site now for a few months and it is a great resource and community.

Maybe CSC can speed up now as the rush from filers before the fee hike should start easing.

The last e-mail I got from USCIS stated that they are still way behind with their NOA1s and also with cashing the checks. So start being patient. It can take a while.

Hey to all November filers! smile.gif This is my first post on this site but my fiancee and I have been lurking on this site for a while now. Anyway just wanted to add that we too are now November filers. Even though we sent off our packet at the end of October they accepted it on November 6th. Now the long wait begins... wink.gif

Good luck to everyone else and godspeed! I pray that we'll all be with our loved ones soon! smile.gif

Sent my petition in on Nov 18 , received on Nov 21, still waiting on NOA1. I have a feeling its gonna be a long ride for all of us November filers, I hope not. Good Luck all. We are all in the same boat.

I mailed our K1 on 10/31, VSC received on 11/1, and NOA dated 11/2.

We are just at the beginning of this wait, and I admit it is a little hard to keep upbeat about it all, esp. with all of the talk of the even slower processing times. It is an oddly helpless feeling not to be able to do anything but wait an unknown amount of time.

But wait we must. smile.gif

So, good luck and a speedy trip to us all...

Greetings November filers! I send in my K-3 app in on November 20. Hoping the USCIS is staritng to get it together....but doubt it! I'm a Vermont filer and hope that's a good thing. Seems a lot of California filers are having problems and delays.
Queen Jenn
CSC received and signed for my petition on November 16, 2007. The check was cashed on November 26, 2007 and with the case number from the back (boy am I grateful for online banking and the scanned image of my check) I was able to create an online account with USCIS. The info online says they opened the petition on November 21, 2007.

YIPPEE!!!!!!!!! They gave me something to be thankful for right before Thanksgiving and I didn't even know it!!!!!!!!

You'll actually see it speed up for you. They're training new adjudicators and July is getting done, which is by far the biggest month.

Our I-129f was just recieved by the CSC today (Yay!), but we're not sure if we would be November or December filers, since this is the last day of November? unsure.gif
Either way, good luck to everyone who has filed this month (or any other month for that matter)! I hope everything goes smoothly and quickly for everyone happy.gif

Wow, what a relief to find this site, Good luck to all of you, I know I will be checking in frequently and am glad to see the posts. It is encouraging! Are any of you attempting to plan a wedding while waiting for the visa? My fiance and I have talked about waiting until I enter the U.S. before sending invitations and confirming venues etc., but just curious what other people are doing.

It's tricky tring to figure out if November NOA1's will allow for a July wedding. Is that cutting it too close? I guess anything can happen....maybe it's just safer to wait till it's all gone through?

That is exactly what I'm doing - wedding planning. I'm hoping for a July wedding as well. What I'm doing is to contact the vendors, but NOT book anything until he has the visa. We'll have a 1st choice, 2nd choice, and 3rd choice for each vendor. Then, when he has the visa, we'll just set a date and make a few calls.

I just got touched for a second time also. Maybe December is a touchy month in California.

They are. They probably actually touched it late Friday, but it didn't download into the system until Monday.

I show a touch already today That makes 3 in one week . Last Friday , Monday and today . I hope that isn't a bad sign . Maybe they just really like me.

Thanks! That sounds like a smart way to do it, at least it will make this waiting process go by faster.

I just have one question. What does "touched" mean? We received our NOA1 dated November 6, and have not been touched as far as I know. Does it show up on your case status with USCIS?
Sylvia_n_Joseph
If you have set up your account to view the case online when you pull up your account there is a date about last activity. When they do something to your file they update that date. Problem is you don't know what they did. Did they just put it on someone desk or have a problem or move it closer to being done. I check every day . And this week I have been touched 3 times. Hopefully is a good thing there are no new comments online and I haven't gotten any emails. At least I know it is being passed around
Mike-Mely
Our NOA1=11/29/07
Weavman
I have not been touched either - Vermont. Envious of Cali-filers at moment... NOA1 11/1/07. Tis the test of patience. Have to trust that all this delay has purpose in the big scheme of things... Middle of hockey season at moment anyway, and my soon-to-be son is a goalie on the Vitebsk, Belarus 10 yr. old league Country Champion team (he tended goal this past week against another team 19-1 victory - told him he was like a brick wall, nothing through!) Anyway, feeling helpless so thought I would at least post something to make me feel as if I were actually doing something....
Joe&Ghe
I have been "touch" as well..I don't put any meaning into it. It's a little bit early, maybe they are just re-organizing the files they received during the month of november..so that's why we've all been "touch".
Queen Jenn
HAPPY NEW YEAR FELLOW NOVEMBER FILERS!!!

Welcome and Happy New Year. Hopefully your petition will start getting processed. If you're sending a K-3 packet, then you should make sure to check the K-3 forum for helpful tips and advice as those of us here in the K-1 forum may not be able to help you. Hope you get processed soon!!!
