I have recently applied for a K1 visa, and am trying to get all my ducks in a row for the Interview in advance. When I was in my 20s, I was travelling in Australia for 10 months on a Working Holiday Visa. I was never really a 'resident' there - I stayed with relatives and in hostels the whole time. But, I was there for over 6 months, so I'm thinking I probably need to get the Police Clearance Certificate? I'm interested in hearing other people's experiences who have travelled in foreign countries for 6 months plus, and whether you were required to show Police Clearance. Thanks!

they ask for police certificate for each city you been living in since the age of 16 ..But you said you stayed over 6 months...did you over stayed your visa???? If you submit a certificate of that country and you overstayed your visa...ths might not be so good.....so the best is to tell them the truth but not more than they really need to know lol

No, I didn't overstay my visa - the Working Holiday Visa is valid for 12 months. I never lived in any city for more than 6 months either - I was backpacking around most of the time... I'm guessing I will possibly need to get an Australia-wide police clearance, though...
