I got the false RFE after they completed my I-864. I called NVC last week about that RFE and spoke to a operator who conformed that the I-864 was fine and they are just waiting for DS-230.

I mailed DS-230 on last Thursday using the James shorcut. Then I got the one from NVC on Friday and I also got the RFE letter on saturday that says that we have recived I-864 and are waiting for DS-230.

That RFE letter also had a page that they wanted me to return

Did I have to return that page with the DS-230???

Which page was it, what did it say? Was it the letter saying we are missing this information and the barcode sheet?

If you sent in your DS-230 with a barcode sheet you generated yourself, I would not worry about it at all.

If this is the one with OF- 230 missing page, you can just ignore that. It is simply asking for the DS230, or so next step is DS230 review once submitted.

What did the the false RFE say when you called? I just called, hoping to hear they had finished our I-864 and instead it said "NVC has reviewed your forms and has found your information missing or incomplete. The NVC mailed a letter on Nov.2 2007 indicating what documentationwas missing or incomplete. Please return this information to New Hampshire..." I just overnighted the DS230 yesterday so perhaps this could just be that they are waiting for the DS230 like in your situation so I wanted to see if my RFE message matched yours. I don't want to dump the bad news on my husband unless I am sure it is really bad news.

The message that you noted below is the false RFE message. However, you need to confirm with a live operator from NVC that it is indeed a false one or true RFE. Press 1 then 5 to speak to a live operator. It may be too late for me to say this, however, you also need to ensure before sending the DS230 that it has been generated. Did you do James Shortcut? I am just wondering since you need your barcode coversheet with your DS230 submission.
