Does everybody in here have all records from the start of your relationship? for eg. If you'll have known each other for 5 years, do you have records that prove your relationship for that long?

Would they want to see evrything for those 5 years? thanks.

Depends on the consulate, depends on the records, and the purpose for which they are offered. If you're speaking about the "proof of ongoing relationship" some have given a "sampling" of communication (i.e. letters, e-mails, cards) along with documentation of trips (tickets, receipts) and photos (many or less depending on what you have), among other things to show an ongoing relationship.

It is up to you to decide how much(or little) to include....but to give you an idea, you should maybe check out the regional forums and see those who have gone through the same consulate as you. Perhaps they can offer better insight on the requirements of your particular consulate.

We have known each other since 1994 and in a relationship since about 1998; however we only submitted like 2 or 3 snail mails from 2001 and the rest of the proof was very recently, from 2005 onwards.

You certainly don't have to show proof from the very beginning of the relationship, just need to show a strong bond over the course of some time (for some people, that is less than a year, and they still got the visa!)
