ok I wanna know is this normal.
today 2 guys from the consulate came to my niebourhood and asked my niebours and my family questions about me and my wife and our marriage.
they said they weren't supposed to come to my house, they wanted just to ask my niebours but luckly the first guy they asked was my friend laughing.gif and he came and told me so I went out and met them.I have never heard they do that in morocco till today. Is this normal or is it just because they are trying to be more careful blink.gif

Well I don't know about Morocco but I have heard them doing this. Only in some cases they go directly to your house and question everyone in the family. Hmmmm... reading.gif

Did the guys say who they were? What were they asking?

I haven't heard of this in Morocco that I can remember.

I've heard from other members here that this was happening with the Cairo CO and we wondered if they might start doing this at Casa. Interesting. unsure.gif

Yes this is can happend its called a field investigation. There are some Embassies in the Middle East that do this it has happened to several people with the Cairo Embassy. They are basically quesitoning friends, family, and who ever else they want to see if you are really married/engaged and to see if some of what you say is true its not abdormal at all. Its a good sign that they are definetely working an your case i hope you hear good news soon!

I think it's a good sign. I can't speak for morocco, but in Cairo they did that with my fiance. A man from the embassy went to his house and asked his mom and family questions about if they knew me (although they did have pictures of me with the family), and he asked if she knew i was divorced with 2 kids. Her response was: she was married and it didn't work, and she divorced, that's life. it can happen to anyone. why should i not want them to be together if they love each other? She's a muslim and she's a good woman, what more can i ask?..........Way to go mommmm good.gif

I think that's normal and it shows that they're working on your case, so keep your spirits high good.gif
dazy
Yes, very normal. My grown daughter stayed with my husband's family a couple of months. During my husband's interview, the CO asked why my daughter was there without me. My daughter's visit occured several months before my husband's interview.

This is the first time Ive heard of it happening in Morocco. However putting the words 'weird' and 'casablanca' in the same sentence is quite normal smile.gif

That is totally weird and in some way extreme.

My husband is also from Kenitra and I mentioned it to him so he would be prepared if this happened to us.
