Any one from the chicago area who has any experience aboout renewing the 10 year green card...if so,How many months did it take...also..how long for biometrics after application..please share..

My ex would just go to the USCIS locally and apply for a new card. It would take a couple of weeks.

You need to file form I-90 and from filing to card arrival it can take 6 months.... depends on the service center its sent to...

Keep in mind you won't loose LPR status while waiting for the renewed card, so do not worry if the old one expires while waiting for the new one, you can always do info pass to get an I-551 stamp if you want to travel if new card has not arrived.
