NO WE HAVE NOT RECIEVED A VISA YET. AND A YEAR AGO AFTER THE INTERVIEW MY SO WAS TOLD HE WOULD HEAR FROM THEM IN ONE MONTH. MY GONGRESS MAN HAS EMAILED THE CAIRO EMBASSY ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. AND THE REPLY IS ALWAYS 2 SENTENCES.... THE CASE IS IN ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESS. YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED WHEN IT IS COMPLETE. I'M FEELING HOPLESS SAD TO SAY. BUT TRUE.

Wow, that is...insane....
You should have recieved the visa in a few days to a week by mail if you were approved. Are you sure you were approved????I have no idea what you should do, contact an immigration lawyer..have you tried calling and talking to an actual person about this?

the beneficiary's country is Egypt; unfortunately there are a lot of hold-ups in that part of the world
if you go down to the MENA forum, you'll see them talking about being 'stuck in AP' after their interview, and before the visa is issued - not sure what it stands for, but it's not Advanced Parole, so I'm guessing it's Administrative Processing, like the letter says... an extra level of security checks for people of Middle East and North African origin
OP, have you visited the MENA forum? you'll get a lot more specific information there; loads of people going through the same thing
