Hi everyone!!

Well, after a big scare about the flight being cancelled, it finally departed 4 hours later from Amman. This was not such a bad thing, there was originally supposed to be a nearly 6 hour layover for him in Paris, but because of the delay, it was only 2 hours. This was a good thing, since he wasn't tempted to wander off somewhere, lose track of time and miss his connection! He landed in Detroit at about 6:30 pm. The whole process only took about 2 1/2 hours total, including his POE. He said that the people at the immigration office were very nice and also very helpfull with his paperwork. Appparently the hardest part of his POE was finally getting home! I got lost on the way back and added nearly an extra hour to our drive. Leave it to me! LOL
So far everything is really great. One of my biggest worries were how he and my sons would adjust to each other, but so far so good. The biggest problem there is the communication issue, and the fact that they are loud and rowdy at times. Hopefully once the newness of him being here wears off some, we will find an even keel with that.
I can't describe the feeling of having him here, how good and right it seems. I had worried about how we would react with each other after 10 months of being apart. Where would we be when he got here? How long would it take to adjust to each other again? Everything just seemed to just fall into place so naturally that I guess I did all that worrying for nothing.
So far we haven't done much except to shop a little for halal foods and get used to the house and where everything is at. I expect this next week we will do a little more shopping to get him ready for a Michigan winter, and do some sight seeing.
I hope to read some really good news here on vj soon about some other's getting the interviews, some NOA2, some visa's issued! Knowing how hard the wait time is only makes the arrival so much more the sweeter.
Special thanks to Wendy for driving with me to the airport and waiting with me. It was so great to meet her and spend some time with her after having chatted with her for so long! Thank YOU Wendy.
Hey Melissa? Where are YOU girl? I miss our chats, and I worry that you are doing okay. Talk to me girl! Love you sis!
Prena! Sorry, but you know I am an addict to being online, I really tried to stay away for a whole week, really I did! LOL Love you sis! I can't wait for the four of us to get together!!!

Sounds like it's all falling into place! So happy for you! good.gif

The way I drove the first week after my husband's arrival, you would have thought I still had my learner's permit. I still hear his voice in my head, "Be careful from this median." "Oww! What was that?" laughing.gif

CONGRATULATIONS on finally getting him here and on the relatively uneventful POE. The adjustment period is another ride altogether, but at least you can do it side by side this time. So happy everything is going well. Keep having fun, and best wishes! rose.gif

HI WENDY!!! I am so happy that your hubby and daughter finally got the visa's! Now you can relax and take a load off you your mind.
As far as the work "thing" goes, we are working on it now, but I think (not sure) (so if someone else knows better please step in) that we have to file the AOS along with the EAD or they won't process it. GROWL! We already have a job lined up for him, he just has to have the work permit first.
If you need anything Wendy, just let me know, K? Love ya!

K-3 can process the EAD without doing AOS first. K1s must file aos before or concurrently with the EAD.
Good luck with the job.
