Just wondering how many of the old familiars of the UK forum are still popping their heads in now and again. Life is busy and many of us are reunited with our hubbys/fiance(e)s now, so VJ is not needed as much, but it'd be nice to hear what everyone is up to if you get the chance.
So, let us all know how you're all getting along, even if it's just a brief line saying "I'm still alive!"

I dunno really, anyone I guess.

We've had quite an active UK forum for the last year or so but now everyone has gone through their initial phases and are settling into RL. I guess I mean anyone and everyone who has contributed to this forum in the last few years!

Still here, mostly lurking -- Mr. Psho-to-be had to give 90 days (!!!) notice, so his last day of work is December 21. I fly over on Christmas Eve, and then we fly back (together! yay!) on January 8.
Then I want robots to plan the wedding.
Once we start filing AOS/EAD/AP, I'll probably be poking my head in more frequently.

Still here! Posting from an overcast North London this afternoon -- I have a few meetings here this week, so I'm staying with my brother and his family. It's really weird being back in the UK, and only 1/2 mile from my old flat. It's 11 weeks today since we left for America and though we've had a few bumps in settling down, no regrets!
It does seem quieter than normal in the UK forum... it's always the first place I go when I log in!

Nice to see everyone, anyway. It's true that old saying "life just gets in the way". or was it "life will find a way", actually I think that last one was from Jurassic Park and now I'm all confused!

I still poke in now and again. Have been busy back and forth to the UK for work so mostly too jetlagged to do anything constructive. I've been eligible to apply for citizenship since August and not got around to it yet. Since then there just doesn't seem the urge. I wonder why...
We're coming up to our 10 year anni of meeting next January, and 4 years wed next May. Have no friggin idea where the time goes. In a year or so we'll be turning back around and moving back to Europe. Scares the poop outta me to go through it all again!

I pop in now and again when I get a chance. We just had our first wedding anniversary, we had planned on going to New York, but we are now in the process of buying our first house together, so any extra funds have just evaporated.
I also just started a new job, doing more stuff that I was doing in the UK and finally getting the wage that I wanted. For the past 8 months I was running the IT network of a small manufacturing company, I had to take what I could at the time. Now I am getting calls from headhunters every other day. I say it has taken me about a year to get to where I wanted to.
Still to make and real friends, more just people that I am friendly with, but hopefully that will change with my new job. All in all wouldnt change it for anything, well except the extra weight I have put on since being here (on a diet and going to the gym at the moment.)

I disappeared for a few months because the cafe had just opened but now things are calming down I have time to check this place out again. I love all the people on here and it's always great fun to read the posts. I try to post as often as I can but sometimes I just can't come up with a reply cos I get pulled away from the computer mid reply and then forget what I was typing when I come back. I'm going to try and plan a VJ outdoor picnic type get together in the spring here in Indiana. It will be in the middle of nowhere so hopefully many people will be able to make it to such an obscure location. I'll keep people up to date when I come up with a date and such.

Im still around and popping my head in from time to time - infact I am still here in the UK!! Desperately trying to sell my house as I need to do this for me to move! I finally have a buyer but the solicitors are taking their time or there is some communication problems - I was expecting to complete on 5th November but that aint happening as the buyers solicitors were doing the searches and now I am told today that some of the searches have come thru but they are waiting on 2 other searches - this totally confused me I mean how many searches does the buyers solicitor do???
Anyways I guess I have to wait till next wednesday to find out what the situation is and when will we have an exchange/complete date so I can get my money and pay fro my tickets and the cats and the shipping and make my last minute eye tests - new glasses - docs appointments for meds etc ya know all the usual stuff lol
My visa expires on 27 December so I am really stressing out right now!!! I do know I can apply for an extension but only if i cant use it in time because of circumstances beyond my control I guess if the sale dont go thru then that is beyond my control (fingers crossed)
really stressed out Lina

I posted every so often here and definitely visited here practically on a daily basis. I definitely learned a lot from this site and the posters in this forum. Thank you.
Life is sooo good with my hubby, well except for the finances! We figured by July he'd be working, so the money did start to run thin, but he's actually at work today. Just started. He's been over here about 7 months now, I'm sure he has enjoyed not working for that whole time and he didn't have any problems with missing family and friends, he communicates with them almost on a daily basis through messenger or phone, or Bebo. Plus we had to go the special channels for his football. He's actually even had his first visitor, his brother came over for a little over a week. Sure we're still in the newlywed stages, but life is great. I'd go through it all again in a heartbeat to have what I have now.

aww fanks Welshie!

A year off from VJ was a little weird at times, but it was a good thing at the time. Glad to be hangin around again. Glad you are here too!!!!!!!
For us, we celebrated hubster second anniversary here back at the end of June. We filed for removal of conditions back in April.......... *snooooooooze*, and are still waiting on that.

We'll celebrate our 4th anniversary on New Years Eve (FOUR YEARS!!!!!!!!) while we are in the UK for the holidays. We'll file for citizenship as soon as we are eligible and hope that doesn't take ANOTHER bleeding year (IT WILL).
All in all though, adjustment for hubster was amazingly smooth. He's extremely adaptable and laid back and had his job within a month of arriving and has made a whole slew of friends. He's much more of a socialite than I am, so he's able to get out and do the things he likes with his buddies without me feeling the need to accompany him to something that I might not enjoy. It works out really well for us. He's been back to the UK twice over the summers and has enjoyed his trips back, but I DO know he feels this is his home too. He has said if we lived in a remote or urban area, he might have not found it as easy as he has because living in a big city we are able to do so many things, get the Indian AND Brit foods he craves (curries and pickled onion Monster Munch....hehehe), he downloads all of his Brit TV, and he has his Brit pub for footie and steak n' ale pie! LOL
Here we are from our weekend away last weekend...

Spencer and I both use this sign on and you will see postings from both of us upon occassion. Neither of us have been on in the past few weeks.
I have been crazy busy with work and he has finally started to work so we don't have the spare time we used to have. We are having a great time, no difficult adjustments really so I guess we are pretty lucky.
I pop in to see if we have any messages and how some friends are doing.
Hope everyone is doing well!
