Hi Guys,

I used to live in the US in the past (over 6 months).
I knew I did not need a US police certificate to be submitted with my DS-230 package. NVC itself will do the background check.
I am wondering if it will take any longer to complete my case due to this extra step. Does anybody have any experience on this matter?

I think it does not matter.
I lived in the US for several years and my NVC process was as quick as one can reasonably expect.

I used to live in the US as well (F1 student visa). Obviously it is an additional step, but it probably doesn't add noticeably to the time, considering the "natural" variability of the process.

Thanks Guys! It is good news.
