I had a great time celebrating Tet when I was working in Vietnam. Lot's of great food and the most important lucky money for the children. Enjoy your trip!

I think I may be able to make it before or around Tet. This of course is pending on when my Fiancee will have her interview. Because of my work, I can only go for 2 weeks max. Right now I can't even buy the ticket yet because I don't know the interview date. Our case was sent yesterday to NVC (5 weeks after approval). That's a good wasted month. ohmy.gif

I got my ticket and visa last week. I went through a VN Travel Agency I saved $600 when I compared my flight with the Airlines online booking. good.gif

Looks like my plans may change. Originally I planned to go back when my fiancee gets her interview date. This most likely would fall in Feb or March. I've just found out from my work that there's a big project that we need to meet the dealine by March and that the project doesn't kick off until beginning of 2008. With that, I'm going to ask my boss if I can take the last week of December to go back. If my request is approved then I will leave here on the Dec 21 and come back on Dec 31. I plan to take all documents with me and take A LOT of photos of us to help with the interview. This trip may strengthen our case a bit more since it will be the 3rd trip within the past year, although it will be the shortest. sad.gif But I figure it will be good to celebrate my birthday and christmas again in Vietnam just like last year. biggrin.gif

For the ones who is near the interview date: If it is possible...

You should arrange the time to go to VN on the interview date to see if any problem you can help immediately.

You should prepare your documents carefully before you go to make sure that you don't need to come back to USA for any missing documents.

Someones think that they should stay in USA to see if any urgent requirement from US Consulate for documents. It may be correct but if you could come to VN in the interview date, it will support your fiance/wife anyway.

On the date I went to the interview, there were 4 couples of Vietnamese - American. Four American men were waiting in the same room.

Do you know what did they do?? My David said, one man always came to talk to others, security guards to wait. David hidden from the security guards to enter the waiting room of fiance and wife to sit with me and he was successful. The other man bothered some equipments in the waiting room of American citizents.

Finally, all of four fiances got visa although one of them was not qualified for the income of poverty guideline.
