if anyone lives near lake worth, fl there is a british supermarket there that is tiny but has a huge selection and really good prices. my biz partner picked up stuff for neil. he got a case of 48 (mix & match) walkers crisps for $15. he also got bisto, vimto, irn bru, golden syrup, pot noodles, lots of cadbury, kinder & galaxy chocolate, frozen yorkshires, heinz beans, batchelors mushy peas, orange & apple tango...I forget what else but he called me after he checked out cos I talked to him while he was in the store and he spent more than I had intended but it will be a happy birthday!

Mmmm, Golden Syrup. Now I want syrup on toast (seriously, it's good! Oh wait... can't get proper bread to put it on, anyway - bah!), followed by a meal consisting entirely of Aunt Bessie's Yorkshire puddings drowning in gravy. Sooooo long since I've had a Yorkshire pudding!! mad.gif

It's probably British Depot. there are actually three in the area. One in Sunrise and one in Ft Lauderdale.

We've not yet been, even though it's only a few miles away.
Thanks for the reminder though... It'd slipped my mind ever since we found Lion Bars at the local Publix (that was the main reason we were going to go)

I bet it does too - in fact, I think I saw some last time we were there. I definitely saw Yorkshire puddings there (yeah, I know I could make them myself, but I'm a lazy cow).... will have to get some next time we go. Am glad to report that the syrup-on-toast craving has subsided now... but it'll be back! So I should get a tin, just in case...

I go to a place called the world market (vhttp://www.worldmarket.com/home.jsp) and they have a decent selection of British stuff there. You can get Heinz baked beans and other Heinz tinned products, McVitties Biscuits, proper Cadburys chocolate and a bunch of other British stuff including bears and proper cider.

Worth a look if there is one in your area
