Of course, I've
always approved of her

Laura's interview was at 9.....at 10:50 I got a call from her..she was approved! I have to admit, when I saw her number ringing me, my heart fell. Based on embassy reviews I wasn't expecting her call until 12 or so. My god I was relieved when she gave me the news!
So she should have her visa in hand next week (they mail it to her). I was already going to visit her, so now she hopefully will be coming back to the US with me! I'm so excited! I'm hoping we can get a half way decent fare and a seat for her on my return flight.

Thanks everyone! I have to say, I was really nervous. Reading other peoples' experiences it seems ours was a lot smoother than I thought it would be. No RFE's, nothing missing at the interview, etc.
But I was really nervous for two reasons. One, I'm 52 and Laura's 21, we were both afraid they might decide she was only just trying to use me to get in the country. Two, and the biggest, she came here twice last year, for close to 90 days both times. If she was leaving England to marry me, we wanted to spend as much time as possible together to make sure we were right for each other. Well, the second time she came, she left something off the I-94 (5?) card at the airport. So the guy had her fix it, but started helping someone else and forgot to give her back her stub. We didn't realize the mistake until we were filling out the I-129f last November and if she was in the country, which she was, we needed the number off the stub. So we went to the local federal building here and explained the situation and the woman became very indignant, accusing Laura of lying, saying that they'd never make such a mistake and that Laura was just BS'ing. She then got on a rant about her being here twice for nearly 90 days and noted her in the system as a visa-waiver abuser, and she could never visit the US again without a visa. So we were afraid they'd make a big deal out of that at the interview. Thankfully not!
Again, thanks everyone!
