Hello,

Was wondering if you guys are absolutely sure that the fee for the IV is $380?? Or is it some other amount??

I just want to make sure cause I want to have the check made out and ready to mail out immediately as soon as I receive the bill in the mail, so not to waste any time that I don't need to....also, who do you make it out to - 'DEPARTMENT OF STATE'??

Do you know what form of payment they accept, do they accept money orders AND also Cashier's check/Bank Teller Check? (I don't imagine they accept personal checks though)

Please advise if anyone knows...

Thanks!

Yes it's still $380. Preferred payment is money order or cashier's check.

Preferred payment is money order or cashier's check.

It's not only preferred, it is required to be money order or cashier's check.

In my opinion, using anything but a postal money order is troublesome because the payment processors have to carefully examine the form of payment to determine if it truely is a qualifying money order or cashier's check. For example, I think some people have had bank "Treasurer's Checks" returned as not cashier's checks.

I realize the payment coupon has instructions, but I have not received it yet (waiting on it), so trying to anticipate and be ready with my check so that when it does arrive, I can just quickly turn around and send it in, rather than wasting that extra day, we all know how slow the NVC process is, and that's why people use the 'shortcuts'.....

I use Moneygram money orders because you can call an automated line and check status.
