Hi All:

It has been awhile. I am enjoying being with my husband and he is adjusting very well. We live in a small town and he is not used to not seeing awhole lot of people around. Coming from a place of millions of people, I can understand how he feels

. He loves most of the food here and I have become Little Mrs. Betty Crocker

I haven't cooked so much in my entire life and I am loving it and he enjoys my cooking as I do his.

We are so happy together and I know that things are going to get even better. The only major obstacle that we are facing now is the fact that he doesn't have a job(until we file the paperwork and it's approved) and as a man, it is getting to him and I am being very supportive in this area. He wants to take care of us. Oh yeah, by the way, we are expecting our first child in January. I didn't tell you guys. I wanted to wait until he arrived. While I was in Africa the last time,

we conceived and we are going to be very proud parents soon. God is truly AWESOME!!

November 9, 2007 will be our 1 year anniversary. Can u believe it? Wow!! that time has really gone by. There is so much to celebrate and I would like for all of you to keep us in your prayers, as we desire your sincere prayers. I will continue to pray for all of those waiting on their loved ones to arrive and for those who have their loved ones by their side, Hold on and keep the faith.

I am soo happy for you! congrats on the baby! i am very excited for you two. our anniversary is also coming up on the 20th of november! wow, a year flies by so quickly! it is so nice to have another k-3 person in this forum, because there are few! we just sent out the ead application last week...so yeah, nana is also adjusting well, but of course, he is a man and wants to take care of me...it will happen soon :-) i am soo excited about the baby! that is sooooo soon!!!!!

Congratulations on the expected bundle of joy and your husband's easy adjustment so far. Tell him getting a job takes time and to hang in there and be patient.

Congrats to you and your hubby for the baby thats on the way! Sounds like you both are doing wonderful and have even more wonderful things coming your way! I am sure your post will uplift others who are still in the midway through the visa process!!

I completely understand how it is hard for your husband to be at home and not working..We went through the same thing when my hubby got here..Although he could work instantly because we filed the cr-1, finding work in his field was and has been quite a challenge.

Your husband is with you and a new baby on the way? God is good!!!! Tell your husband to enjoy the time he has with you now because once he starts t o work..it does not stop! He is going to look back and wish he would have enjoyed his time.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! It's truely a blessing to have your husband or wife around you. God is faithful. I would advice you to read my post on understanding Africa men.

It's only a responsible man that will show you that he wants to help. So be happy when you have a husband that have that attitude.
