I have seen some topics where some persons have stated that the DS-157 was requested in packet3. I also saw some statements which stated that the DS-157 was required for all male applicants aged 16 and over.
My concern is that it was not requested in my packet 3 instructions. In fact, there was no mention of it at all. I am aware that things may vary from embassy to embassy. However, with some of the blanket statements that I have seen concerning this issue, I've gotten a bit confused. Please share your thoughts on this issue. Thank you... Here is a copy of my instruction document....

Did you read the embassy info here on VJ for your fiance's country?
If it is not listed in the instructions I would not worry about it,when I got pack 3 the exact things where listed I needed to send,I also thought it would be more but it wasn't.

Alls i know is in the Philippines you HAVE to have a DS 157 for a K1. You pay 100 US at a local bank and they give you the DS157 that is stamped showing you paid and you fill it out by hand and submit 2 copies when you go for your interview.
Other countries have different trips tho.

I wasn't asked to bring the DS-157 with me to the consulate, only the DS-156 and DS-156K. Having said that, every consulate is different in the way they process interviews.
Since it doesn't mention the DS-157 specifically in your Packet 3, I wouldn't fuss about it.
