I was wondering if anyone one here has submitted the evidence they ask for in the I-864, asking for "photocopy of your IRS tax return or IRS Transcript.." So if you submit a copy of the 1040 that you filed, that was accepted by NVC, is that OK?
OR does anyone know if NVC requires actually getting a transcript of your tax return from IRS?? I just want to make sure that when I submit my I-864 that sending in copy of my return is good enough...
Advice, anyone?
Thanks,

What I filed:
2006 - photocopy of 1040 form with photocopy of W-2's and photocopy of 1099 form (from interest earned savings account).
2005 - Did not have a copy of the taxes I filed that year. So I requested an copy from the IRS (transcript)
2004 - IRS transcript
The NVC does nothing it doesn't have to do (like asking the IRS for a copy of your taxes).
YOU ARE THE ONE that gives YOUR TAX INFORMATION to the NVC.
As long as you present photocopy of the
1040 forms and copies of
supporting tax documents that normally go with the filing, you should be ok. A transcript is only needed if you do not have copies of your filed taxed
