Received a transfer to the CSC today for our AOS. Is there somewhere I can put this in the timeline?

Nope. You can write it in.
Captain Ewok
I may add a tick box for people to enable if transfered. For now keep the dates as normal.

Thinking about it more, might it not be good to change this in the timeline? Because I will not have an interview date, most likely, so we will not be adding anything to the Hartford timeline at all, rendering it less useful for other future Hartford filers.

I think it can be useful, we see at times members posting, "who at xyz local office has been transferred to CSC", etc. It might have nothing to do with the local office, but at least the full picture is there.
rebeccajo
IMO, this should have been added long ago.

From a memo rebeccajo had it seems that the driving factor in being transferred is how backed up the local office is. (Hartford is still interviewing early 2007, so they say)

But even if there are other reasons, it would have been helpful to have that data included, because if I understand how the timelines work (perhaps questionable), if no interview date is entered, then the timeline doesn't count in terms of the aggregate data.

Which means that C.'s experience won't show up. Which isn't a big deal to him or me, but it means that anyone who searches Hartford is going to see the two or three people who waited for an interview.
rebeccajo
It'd be useful from other standpoints as well.

A CSC transfer is regarded as the golden calf amongst AOS'ing VJ'ers. But those of us who have spent some time in the corral know that transferrees can get caught in namecheck or other delays as easily as those who are interviewed. It would be nice to have factual data on hand to either dispell or confirm the myth that a CSC transfer is 'better' than an interivew.

It would also be useful to see if those who aren't interviewed for the I485 are ever interviewed when they file I751.
Captain Ewok
I will see what I can do. I will work on it now smile.gif.

For sure. IIRC, we were approved by CSC towards the beginning of when CSC transfers were becoming common. We'll be applying to remove conditions in March, so it would be very useful to easily track what's going on in terms of interviews for I-751 applicants who were CSC transfers.
Captain Ewok
I have added the new feature. I hope it does everything you wanted smile.gif. You can add the new date in the timeline entry system. I have also added a filter to show only timelines with AOS transfers (see AOS timeline page).
rebeccajo
Thanks for the work, Captain! Will the coding link to the I751 timelines?
Captain Ewok
I assume you mean for cases that are also transfered and approved without interview? If so then I will probably add that in the next few days.

Yes, that's what I mean. I think there's a concensus here that this would be valuable information.

Yes, linking the info of CSC transferees to their future I-751 info would be great!

Right now we are improvising with a list tracking the very first of the CSC transferees who are now filing their I-751 via a topic under Removing Conditions.

BTW, for those interested, so far we've had 4 former CSC transferees (during AOS) whose I-751s were approved without interview.

Excellent info, thanks! good.gif
Caladan
Awesome, thanks Ewok!
Captain Ewok
No probs. Once I get the datafield in there for the I-751 and people fill out the new info, I can run custom database queries for you to generate any type of stats you are curious about. In fact if you want any stats that are not online right now then just ask and I can either automate them or run a one time query for you smile.gif.
