On it's way to TX Service Center.

Hopefully this is the end of the VisaJourney.

But wait...my stepdaughter is eligible in another 2 years.

It never ends! wink.gif

Good Luck!

Wouldn't your step-daughter automatically become a citizen under the Child Citizenship Act when her mother becomes a citizen? I asked that question on here and people seem to think she would be.

My stepdaughter was already 18 years old when she arrived in the USA as a K-2. She is now 22 years old. I have not looked into the Child Citizenship Act, but I think she is too old to derive citizenship through her mom.

Oh, ok. I think she does have to go the traditional route then as I am pretty sure it has to be before their 18th birthday to qualify via the CCA.

Good luck to you both!

Good Luck!

It seems we are all ready in delays since they are not entering N-400 currently. Maybe these delays wake up the other place we use, but I doubt it.

Thanx Kud. Glad to know the old G7 gang is still around. Time flies when you're having fun.

The USPS tried to deliver our N-400 on Friday to TX Service Center in Mesquite, but apparently they left early for Happy Hour. Hopefully someone will sign for it on Monday and get the ball rolling. wink.gif

Good luck to you and your wife, peejay! star_smile.gif Do you think she'll make in time to vote for the next president? smile.gif

Thanx.

We are hoping that she will be a US citizen before summer 2008. We really won't know until she gets a NOA to project a processing time with.

The good news is that the U.S.P.S. tracking showed the application being accepted at the Texas Service Center in Mesquite at 5:53 AM this morning. So US-CIS has it.

Anyway...my wife is not very politically inclined, so I do not know if she will decide to vote. There are a multitude of reasons people wish to naturalize for US citizenship.
