I received an approval from California on a K-1 fiance visa , BUT it said on the Approval it was being sent directly to the consulate not the NVC !!!!!! Has Anyone seen this before???

We had to expedite the visa do to health reasons, but I do not think this is the reason.

I do not see on the approval from CA. that it is going to the NVC Anyone out there get an approval with it saying being sent directly to the consulate ???? for us that would be Manila

Never heard of such a thing, but it sounds good to me! Yeah to no NVC! I am curious to know what qualifies as a health reason for an expedite. Is that a health reason for the petitioner or beneficiary, or sickness in the family, parents being very ill, etc.?

I have heard something like this but I think those people still received a letter or something from NVC so although they were told it went straight to the Embassy I think it went through NVC anyway....but not sure...
I looked at your timeline and it doesn´t look like your petition was expedited...it says your approval took 164 days...

Maybe expedition only applies once the service center approves it, then that is why it is sent directly to the consulate. The other possible issue is that someone left a thread earlier in the week that said they heard there was a back up getting approved apps to the NVC do to contractor problems. Maybe this is their solution to bypass NVC all together?

All NOA2's have that wording (I just checked mine and we made a stop at NVC).

Oops, I see Zee answered this to clarify it well. Thanks, Zee. I just removed my response and put this in place. Good luck with the rest of the journey.

The NVC assigns the case number for Manila. The case number should start with MNL.....i.e. MNL2007501001. It would be kind of hard to have the petition go to the embassy without a case number.
