Hi everybody.

Sorry I don't talk much, but I read all your comments and feel almost part of a very diverse family here. My question is this. I sent my I129f July 20th. They recieved it July 23rd in NSC. They transfered it to CSC. The Websight has a last update of Aug 7th that says they recieved my packet August 2nd. The cashed the check in July. Soooo. who do I hang out with? July or August filers?

Secondly. For the record. CSC says they sent me my NOA1 on August 2nd. They confirmed this on the phone as well. I never recieved it. They say it is not important at this stage. ok???

Thanks!!
Brad

When you receive your NOA1, there is a received box. the date in that box will tell you if you are a july filer or august filer. I think you are probably a july filer based on what you have said so far but you can hang out with july, and august filers. My Noa1 received date is July 18th. the website says they received it on the 20th. so the website is a few days later. If yours says august 2nd, its probably earlier on your NOA1.

August Filer (not that it matters terribly)

As far as importance of not having a NOA1 - it's not that important. USCIS not having a correct address or some other issue with your mail is pretty important since having your NOA2 (Approval notice) will be pretty important later on. If it's possible, try to verify the address they have (both from the copy of your petition you sent in, and from them - USCIS). Also, it is a good idea to make certain your name is on/in your mailbox.

Hope this helps... good.gif

Thanks....it does. I did call and verify my address with them. I was looking for a reason to call anyway. I'm afraid I cant see my NOA1 to verify the other date. So I hope I'm a July guy! This wait is not for the anxous or faint of heart. This is a real life changer.

I second this; the 'Received Date' box on the printed NOA1 notice is what you should check. Mine is 21 June, but it's a couple days later on the website.

I'll note that I called USCIS and was connected to the veritably useless customer service reps (not the service center), and their computer records reported the same received date as on the website...since apparently that's all the information on cases they have access to. Whatever the date is on the website, I'm guessing your actual received date is a few days sooner.

I mailed mine to VSC in July and my NOA1 was dated in August. I am hanging out in the July filers thread...
I look at it this way, did you have to pay the new fees? If not I would consider you a July filer.
