Hiya
Okay, for Liz, POE date was October 8th.
We left Kingston about about 5:30 in the morning with a uhaul trailer. Arrived at Sarnia about 10:30. The toll's weren't operating for about 20 mins....weird, than the line up at the border. I told the woman I had to activate my K1, she asked about pet food and I said yes..of course, stupid me, but wouldn't I look strange if I didn't bring food for the animals. Anyway, they were lined up pretty bad even for parking. We were told to leave the truck and go inside. INSIDE??? Line up was out the doors. The woman in front of me had her advance parole she had to hand in. Officers were coming down the lines taking everyone in front of her and I. Started worrying about the dog and cat, it was that really hot humid day. Jim finally got ahold of someone to escort him back to the truck to check on them. Finally I got to the counter, I had the supervisor, really nice guy!! He didn't seem to know what he was doing though.yikes, but I did get the I-94 stamps and paid...Jim of course asked him about me working and the guy said I can go to work as soon as I get there, it's just some employers like to see the EAD.....whatever.....UGH....he told us we could go, but of course ME....kept at him about the pet food, till he finally came out and did all he could to ignore me,....then finally gave in and threw the pet food away (it was made in Canada)....
Anyway, I'm here, I'm on dial up....horrible thing...haven't gotten married yet, he's too busy, did get the license, didn't get to the state fair or the stock car races. Animals survived nicely, thanks for all your advice on that. Gravol was a good thing.
Okay, gotta go, guy's here staining the kitchen cabinets.
Congratulations to everyone I missed!!

....as for the pet food...if it contains beef or beef byproducts etc...and made anywhere but USA it can't enter the country. I know 'cause my poor doggy had his treats confiscated. Now he just gives the "paw" whenever he crosses!!! Dogs just can't get past someone taking their treats!!! lol

Welcome home!
What's amazing to me about the doggy-treats being confiscated is there is no guarantee that the ingredients in US-manufactured dog foods were not manufactured in China. Poor pup!

weird..
I've taken treats from here to the US in my luggage MANY times..
I'm gonna check tomorrow to see where they're made..
but know one's ever even looked at them with any concern before!

Ontarkie...um...suppose to be WARM!!!!! OMG, I could get this at home brrrrrr
Vnoe, yeah a minute or more like 10, guess we get spoiled with the DSL *sigh*
I'll post pics, but I have no idea how many hours one will take to upload, lmao. Now they're trying to fit the wedding in between a toyride and opening day for deer season...twilight zone!!
I'm brain dead, going to see where I can put my two cents in on here, and update my profile
