OK, well I just wanted to say hi! I've been lurking for a while and thought I should "go in at the deep end" as they say! I'm originally from the UK, although my ancestry is a mix of Scandinavia, San Marino and the Galapagos Islands. My fiancee, Shirleen, is from Texas and currently holds the state record for continuous lassoing astride a rodeo bull! She's a real trooper. We met whilst we were both on holiday, during an archaeological dig in the Southern Andes, attempting to uncover the mysteries of the illusive Poco Madre tribe. Some unexpected bones came up during that trip, I can tell you! We continued our LDR through the usual means - email, very expensive phone calls, singing telegrams - and we finally got engaged during an interval of Wagner's Ring Cycle (performed by the Cheltenham Ladies Operatic Society, on tour in Abilene). We're both mad apiculturists (bee keepers, to you!) and I'm currently crafting a sculpture of the two of us in beeswax to stand atop our wedding cake. I'm so happy we found each other and this site! Thank you.
