HELLO GUYS,
WE PLAN TO APPLY FOR SSN AS SOON AS I HAVE OUR MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE. MY QUESTION IS DO I NEED TO FILE FOR EAD IF I HAVE FILED SSN?? THANKS IN ADVANCE...
RIZA
Why not apply for SSN now? You don't have to wait till you're married. In fact, it is easier to get SSN at least 2 weeks upon your entry to US because if the I-94 is close to expiration, they won't assign a number to you until you got EAD or GC. After marriage, you can then have your name changed in your SSN.
EAD will allow you to work while waiting for your GC.
