sadly waiting
Hello. My husband and I married in Amman on July 16, 2006. In August 2006 I sent I-130 to USCIS and it was approved in Sept. '06. Well he received his CR-1 visa October 1, 2007 and is now in New Orleans. Question is does he have to apply for EAD and SSN or will he receive them automatically? The EAD application at www.uscis.gov is just for non-immigrant holders. He has an immigrant visa. Anyone who can help with this question would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Becky

The CR-1 visa gives him teh green card shortly after arrival correct? You do not need EAD if you hold a green czard. did he request his ssn on the check box when he completed his forms? Sometimes it does not arrive if if requested and you have to go back and as for it to be sent.
