Full Version: I'm getting a visitor this week!!
I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited!! My son (21 years old) and his girlfriend (whom I've never met!) are coming to visit on Thursday for a week! I've not seen my son since my wedding on April 7th. Can't wait to hug him!

I don't envy the position of the girlfriend. I know I was really worried when I met my mother-in-law for the first time. It was under less than ideal circumstances and we were already married and she already had some concerns about that since my husband and I hadn't known each for that long. But we hit it off and she loves me (and vice-versa!).

mess with her mind for me kay??Hehe, ordinarily I'd probably say the same thing, but my fiance is going to meet my parents for the first time pretty soon so I can sort of empathize.

i didn't meet my mother-in-law till after we were married too.... but she liked me from the beginning....
she once told her sister right in front of me ..lol that I was her favourite...

Enjoy your visit with your son. I know how much I miss my 2 sons (ages 24 and 26) in Canada too. I just saw them a couple of weeks ago in Canada.
