Kept having nightmares about a project at work , so got up and decided to get everything together to contact my Senator and see if it helps us with the interview... we'll see what happens....

Hey there, early birds!! I didn't even go to sleep.... Happy Monday !

I have been up all night...I am still looking for jobs.... I applied to Vodafone Egypt and DHL online..... I also have to fax my resume to some other businesses in Cairo... the problem is, I have to download Microsoft Office to update the resume & it is taking forrrrrrrrrrever!! Only 3 hrs & 54 min until it finishes.... yay then, I can continue my Great Job Hunt!!!

hey everyone. im here. recoupin from a stomach bug. things are good. i did a no no and had some regular pepsi today cause i needed the caffine boost and ill say i feel GREAT now. Chocolate was my fav food really i love sweets but they are now a no no for the next 8mths or so. i cant believe i found out 3wks ago, so much has happened. InshaaAllah things will continue to go well.

I really hope to see some good visa news this week!!

Good morning. I had a restless night last night, like when you sleep but keep waking up every 5 minutes ughhhhh! So needless to say I woke up in a foul mood. Then I decided to call DOS to cheer me up!! What can I say? I'm a glutton for punishment!


I got the same lady (at least she sounded exactly the same) and she asked and what is your question? So I decided to play nice and just ask since when has the case been there at immigration and if it was still there? She said, "It's been here since August, but that's normal some take more time, some take less, they just still need to do some more checking and then they'll send it back to the Embassy. Oh wait..." (by now i'm all ears, what?? what??) then she says: "Oh, no it still here for a little more checking, is that all you wanted to ask?" .... My mouth responded: "No, that was all, thank you and have a nice day" while my mind was saying: "why don't you take that dagger and stick it deeper please!!"


Anyway, I hope everyone has a good week insha Allah.

So I'm doing some work now to catch up and finish up a report. I have been having really strange joint pain - so much that last night I was whimpering while in bed and my husband didn't know what to do for me. I'm calling to see if I can get in somewhere soon. I'm a little worried as my mom has fiber myalgia and I really hope that I'm not developing it. My old college roommate is coming by tonight for dinner too so I'm super excited!

good morning MENA group. Omar took me shopping for new work clothes yesterday Got 3 new outfits.
This morning on the traffic they said..Issaquah is going bananas (due to a huge traffic accident on I90) and Omar said Issaquah has bananas? He had not heard that expression before.

Red Sox are going to the World Series. They will play the Rockies in Boston on Wed night!




I love when hubby says "okie dokie" or, "see you later alligator". He pops out with them and I'm always suprised that he caught on from me when I say them.

My mood is: content

I smoke too much. (insert appropriate smile smoking face)
I shop too much (how many purses do I really need?).
Still eating next to nothing, but it has its benefits.

I don't cry anymore. Took 3 months to dry my eyes. Have not cried since I left Texas. I took all my pain and sadness, set it symbolically next to the plane and flew home. Did not bring the memories back with me. Came home and cleaned every room in my house. Getting away did me a world of good. Next road trip, driving to the East Coast in December.

So all things considered, life is finally looking up, now that I am 'off the floor'.

I am back on top at work and the #1 sales writer----where I should be. I am happy there are lights at the end of my tunnels.

Purses are a good thing! When I was in high school I didn't want a purse or wallet so I carried my keys, ID, cell phone and whatever else I had in a zip lock bag. That was my low point. After college my Mom bought me a nice purse and said that I have to look more professional. Oopsies!

Rock on with the purses sistah Jackie. I have one of those giant rubbermaid tubs FULL of purses, and I still buy more. Purses are a therapeutic purchase. Cleaning out an old purse and organizing the new one is like cleansing the soul. Very purifying, very satisfying. It almost as good as cleaning the whole house. And lets face, the purse holds as much of my life as the rest of the house does. I am prepared for any emergency that requires 10 pennies, a hairbrush, a mall map, and doublemint gum!

I reccomend Ross for new purse therapy.

My morning has been filled with assorted kicks and whacks from my miniature moroccan dumpling. Its as if he's got his little foot on my bladder and saying "ON! OFF! ON! OFF! ON! OFF!". Kinda like that insurance commerical where the guy keeps flipping the garage door switch on his neighbor's car hood.

What happened is that I used to just carry everything in my pockets of hands and one time I left everything at a friends house in a big pile and her Mom returned everything to me in a ziplock bag and I ended up using it for almost 2 years.

Jackie- I have a Coach purse and it's black.

I love Coach, but to be honest have never bought one for myself, they are so expensive....I was given one for a present.

I also like the straw purses for summer from Brighton, very girlie and sweet.

If I even look at any of these two designers and seriously thinking of buying I will be doing it at an outlet mall. LOL

Please tell me you aren't wearing white after Labor Day too!

Monday's mold makes me feel old. Woke up with swollen eyes thank you very much. Monday meah!

Getting dressed is too complicated. I wish I could just wear my best sweat suit to work everyday.

At least that's the plus side to not having a job and just being a college student.

I'm with Jenn. Don't follow the color fads. dont match my lipstick or purse to my clothes. In fact, I use the same purse day after day. I know I know. I do need to get a new one though, so maybe I'll add that to next week's shopping trip. We have started buying the proverbial family gifts for the trip so we aren't swamped when it's close to trip time.

Yassmine: I love that commercial. Tell little guy to settle down in there!

I blame it on his daddy. He likes to talk to the baby when he comes to bed. A very sweet gesture, but Im asleep! The other night he was talking to my belly and I asked him what baby told him. "I cant tell you," he answered, "Its secret between men".

I have several, purses are my next biggest weakness next to shoes. My current fave which I have been using for a few months now is my black Gucci purse. I have others but I won't mention them so you guys don't think I'm crazy.

I have so many things to do and so little time. If I just didn't have this stupid job in the way of real life I could get on with the more important things. ARG!!! It sucks that we have to have money to survive here....... I like my job and all..but I just have no time anymore. *sigh*

I hate 95% of most purses in the stores....I'm just picky....I walk into the department and a purse calls to me from a far....i make a line straight to it...and it is always, never fail, a Kenneth Cole.

It's funny that you are all talking about purses today. My friend that was staying with me this weekend had the most beautiful "weekend" bag that I've ever seen. It was RED in like a crocodile pattern. MY weakness is RED purses and RED shoes. My friend has long envied this really nice red purse that I brought back from one of my trips to Morocco. Well, I joked that I would trade my red bag for her red bag and she was like....DONE!

The funny thing is that I don't go on alot of weekend trips but I REALLY like the bag. I think it was a good barter.

OMG!!!! I went with a friend to her church to see some play that they were doing and I wore these closed-toe, kitten heel red shoes. When I got out of the car, she actually asked me what the h-e-l-l did I have on my feet...IN THE CHURCH PARKING LOT! I was like...duh...shoes! She was really kind of pissed. I couldn't believe it. She all but called me a whore.

My husband loves 'em though!!!!!!

I love red shoes too, as a matter of fact....I got some new ones this weekend!

My first pair of adult red shoes were where Candies witht e really high heels...in red patent leather...I wore them everywhere.

I would love to find some pretty red ones for the fall. I would LOVE to find some red boots! Add in a nice heel and I might as well stick a bumper sticker that says "HO" on my fanny!!!!

I would wear them to church just to be devilish!!!!!!!

Ijust love the look of all black with red shoes and a red purse, or jeans, black top, and red shoes! I have shoes in just about every color and they add a nice pop of color to black/jeans.

I have really just started my love for purses when I went to my first purse party, yeah the knock off's. I have really nice purses and my friends that all have the real one's have really liked mine and after I invited her to my purse party she went crazy. Needless to say I got a lot of free purses just from all of her friends buying at the parties. I really don't care the maker or whatever I just liek the one's I like and as long as they have a matching wallet I am good to go.

Shoes well I guess I am the same way. I don't really care the maker as long as they are different. I like finding very unique sandles and flip flops. My husband couldn't bleieve that I have so many shoes but he has almost tripled his shoe supply. Boots I usually get a couple black pairs and one brown a year, who knows this year I might be different and get some red one's.

Jackie I am so glad that you are doing much better you are an inspiration and have always been to me. Thanks for being you and sharing your highs and lows.
