I just got an appointment to do the fingerprint by the end of this month. How long after that I will get EAD? I mean how long after that that I could actually go get a job. I am sitting here doing nothing while waiting, and get impatient already. Any info would help. Thanks

Also does anyone know about car insurance stuff. I wonder if I buy a car under my name. Will the car insurance price be outraged because I don't have a green card? What is the best way to save money on car insurance...PS: I had a car wrecked in the US before under my maiden name 3 years ago..Will they figure that out if I buy the policy using my husband last name...Thanks again

i think Drivin wont be the issue here , and about the name thing with the insurence company , i dont know if they can find out, u can call and check , i am drivin now with internatonal lic , and i have insurnce 2 ,
and for the EAD , should take as they say somewhere between 60 and 90 day's from ur filing day if everty thing is right

It took about six weeks from the biometrics to Claudeth receiving her EAD.

biometrics August 29, EAD card ordered Oct 4.

know nothing re car insurance. sorry. but when you get bored... plough through inernet and search for best deals. hope you find something good!
