Hi Follow VJ's,
Well, I just wanted to let everyone know that my husband had is interview on Oct 2. I did have his medical appt. until Oct 5. so that interviewer told him to come back after the medical appt. Yesterday, Oct. 19, my husband went back and we were denied the CR-1 visa because he was unable to show proof of the relationship. My husband bad everything i.e., car insurance policy with both our names, life insurance, phone bills, and emails. The interview told my husband that she did not want to see his proof. I called that Dept. of State and the operator said that my husband was denied due over staying his visa to the US in 2003 but the letter that he got from the embassy states that he failed to show proof. Has anyone ever had this happen?

Sounds like they made their decision from the overstay.
You should get a lawyer. If the overstay resulted in a ban it will be very difficult to overcome.
Difficult and timely process no matter what the reason.

I spelled it correctly, or google her name. She gets mentioned here a lot.

Sibez, I am sorry to hear about the denial of the cr-1...It sounds like they denied your husband based on overstaying in the U.S. in 2003 but failed to mention that to your husband on October 19. As other vjers have already mentioned, its probably best to get an immigration attorney at this point......Please keep us posted on your case.

Be Encouraged I am sure that is a hard pill to swallow, but the good News is as long as we have Jesus we have Hope. I think the immigration attorney will more than likely be the best route to go along with much fasting and praying. I will surely keep that before the Lord in Prayer. I am sorry that happened to you, things will get better in the near future. Continue to be blessed and be encouraged!!!!!!!!!
