Just received an email from the Embassy in Thailand. Packet 3 mailed to my fiancee on Nov. 21st. Hopefully it gets to her home because the Thai mail system is very unreliable. Fortunately, I have all the forms from packet three already filled out, so if my fiancee does not receive her packet from the Embassy we will send out the forms we downloaded.

What a long, strange trip this has been.

my pinay friends here in VJ and WOF texted me last friday that I already have an interview date!!! Thanks sisters!!! THANKS TO OUR LORD!!! I didnt expect that I would be knowing my medical and interview date last friday. I was in Cebu having fun in a karaoke/videoke bar when my friends texted me. ME AND CARL ARE SO HAPPY!!! Thanks a lot for all the help.

By the way, I met a couple in Bohol. I told them about this wonderful website and shared this blessing to them.

I'm gonna be with 2 other wonderful ladies on January 8 for our interview. And we're gonna have an early medical on Dec 19 and 20.

Hey guys, I just found out that NVC recieved our application on Friday, and so now I'm waiting with you for interview! YEah, I'm so excited!

Interview cleared this morning!!!

She called me right when I woke up. Smooth interview in Bern, Switzerland, the officer just checked the paperworks and the new documents needed after the NOA2. He asked her to redo the passport pictures (wrong size) so she came back 1/2h later with the correct format and voilà!! the visa is in the mail!

We will get married on 12/10, the day after she flies back!!!
Now let gather everything for the AOS and reentry permit applications. When you think you're done with USCIS, you go right back at it!!!

I called DOS this morning and was told of the interview date...The American consulate hasn't responded to my email yet.

Interview is scheduled for early Jan.

Very Nice!! We're still waiting to get ours.

My fiancee will have have her medical on Friday, as well as applying for her police report and paying for her visa. Hoping to have an interview date early to mid January. I cannot wait for this part to be over!

Rosemarie: I have a question for you: Is your POE going to be Detroit? or will you go through JFK? I'm still confused about the work permit. I understand that only New York gives those out if asked for, but I also understand that the K-1 on its own allows you to work for 90 days while adjusting status. Can anybody clarify this for me? My POE will be Detroit as I am not worried about a work stamp. As I understand it if you get a work stamp you have to get a SSN too in order to work, you would then need to find a job and start work and it would only be valid for 90 days from entry. It didn't seem worth it to me.

Hi everyone, hope everyone is enjoying their holidays!

I need some help with some last minute items. I received the US citizen copy of the invitation letter in the mail Nov. 19, but my fiance in Mexico has not received her invitation letter and packet. Our NOA2 expires 1/9/08!

Need confirmation, can we use my copy of the invitation letter? Or, do you have to use the one the fiance should receive?

Also, can someone else confirm if the consulate will be open 1/2/08 - 1/4/08? I know that the consulate is supposed to be open all days except American and Mexican holidays and last friday of the month. Just want to make sure the following days after New Year's are not considered "Gov't" holidays.

Can anyone recommend a hotel to stay in Juarez? I'm really looking forward to seeing mi amor!!!

Lastly, the example forms DS-157, DS-158, and DS-230 on Visa Journey are not included in the Fiance Visa Packet available online on the Juarez Consulate website. Can someone confirm what these are for? And, that they are not needed?

I Had my medical on monday which all went pretty smoothly so my medical results should be at the embassy by friday.

I am still waiting for my interview date. My Packet 3 was recieved at the US embassy on 7th December and still nothing. Im Hoping to recieve a date real soon, and hopefully one that isnt too far away.

This whole process keeps getting more and more frustratiing. Going to my medical made me feel like the process was moving fast and i was nearly there. Now it feels like its at a complete Stop and i dont have any idea of when i will recieve my interview date and when that will be.

Well, considering the waiting that we've all been through and are still going through, as well as the trials and tribulations of dealing with either CSC or VSC, next year will be the best for all of us! I got some good news... my fiance got his interview date yesterday!! It's set for Jan 28th at 8:30am. I'm so excited I can't sit still!! We were originally hoping to be married 12/28, but with all this waiting, that didn't happen, so now we're looking to Feb!

To all those still waiting...there is a light at the end of the tunnel..keep the faith!

2008 is going to be great!!!

His interview was yesterday (the 28th there)...after about a 3 min interview, she wished us a happy life together and told him good luck! So if anyone heard shouting coming from Vancouver, WA yesterday afternoon...it was me!!!! I'm so happy I can hardly stand it!
