Unless your wife can qualify on her own for a tourist visa your chances are slim and none.
Nothing you can do on your end that will help.
She has to have GOOD reasons she MUST return to RP. Bank acounts, own proberty, hell of a good job, business etc.
Also must show she has the pesos to pay her own way.
Peeps going TNT are killing the chances of peeps that are for real.
Only cost $100 per person to try tho. Can't hurt anything.
As a LPR you can petition them but it takes like 5 years. Better to wait and get your USC! Only about one year then.

we have the same situation. only i am the wife of a permanent resident and we have a son who stays with me here in pinas.

i can tell you based from experience that it's very difficult! i have applied 2x already and both times i got denied. on both visa interviews they told me that the strongest tie i have is with my husband and so there is a good chance i wont go back home to phil even if i leave my son behind. it sucks really especially if you have good intentions of just visiting.

my husband comes to visit us here in pinas every 4-6 months but he could only stay for 2 weeks at a time and of course that's always bitin and it hurts to keep on waiting til we have the chance to really go to the us as immigrants. (it will take 5 years for us)

but there is still no harm in trying. minsan swertihan lang yan. my last try was in feb 2006. i will be trying again next year since a lot has changed in my situation. i already have my own business and a stable job on top of that. i'll just try my luck and hope that it works.

if ever your wife is going to give it a shot..make sure she has the proper documents to prove that she has a good job and other properties that would make her return to the philippines.

It is very difficult to get a visa out of the Philippines. You need all sorts of proof of strong ties to the Philippines.

I'm also married to an LPR and planning to apply for a tourist visa early next year.. I'll just need more money to show the consul.. ahehehe.. I have a permanent job.. no assets.. but for me there's nothing wrong if we try.. at least we tried. Im just scared for what I read here, that they we're approved as B2 Visa but when they reached POE in the USA they were deported.. can someone enlighten me about that please...

[b]Speaking thru experienced only, I have tried before applying a tourist visa for our son(2yr old)But the embassy denied it for the reasons that the right step is the I-30 petition. The bottom line is if you have a relative in US the first thing they do is to verified it. If they found that if one parent is in US the only answer for this is you have to apply the immigrant petition.They did'nt even bother to look at our evidence of documents like,job,assets,banks etc...they only care to see the US reltive backround.But if you are applying just for the sake of pleasure,business and if there is no relative involved,well then there is a chance of getting a B2 visa. After that denial,we applied for i-130 for our son but still there is no progress and still waiting. like everybody says,there is no harm in trying...just losing money and efforts.[/b]
