hey all,
my fiance is here in the u.s. now and we are getting married in 2 weeks. we are trying to plan for aos and for the medical exam. i know he has to get a vaccination supplement, and just to be safe i think he'll probably have another medical exam just in case (we don't want an RFE!!) but what i don't understand is that he said the form that states what shots he had for his medical in zambia was in the brown envelope that he gave in at the p.o.e. the immigration officer said that the envelope would be mailed to his address here in the u.s. just before his 90 days are up. so are we supposed to wait for that envelope or what?
i'm confused!

We never had anything mailed to us. Re just had a copy of what vaccinations he already had from Ghana.

Don't sit and wait for that brown envelope. It ain't coming back to you. It is actually supposed to meet up with his file at USCIS. As for the vaccination supplement, no big deal. A copy of the record from overseas would be helpful but I am certain that you can get around that. Our doc just asked what Nani had and took our word for it. But then, some of the approved physicians are said to be a royal pain in the butt.

Good Luck!

How long ago was the medical, they are good for a year you know. Civil surgeons can be very expensive for medical so check before. You probably only need the supplemental vaccination thingy. Good luck

I know its been almost 2 yrs since my hubby arrived here, but I think I may be correct( if Im wrong, plz let me know) when I say u don't need a medical exam for the AOS. And as far as the vaccination record, u only send in the report...which ur hubby should have received. Like I said, it's been a while since we did these things, but I dont recall having to do another med. exam here in the U.S. Also, ur hubby will NEVER receive that "mysterious" brown envelope or nothing that is contained inside of it.
