Ok I'm stressing over the schools here in many ways.
I wont get into all of it but the biggest problem atm is my oldest sons new school. Hes going into grade 11 and before we even got here we have been trying to get as much info from the schools as possible. We started in Jan when I came down here after Christmas. The pretty much didnt want anything to do with us at that time.
So just before we moved here (Arkansas) we made sure that my kids would not lose any credits. Since it was May when we left I didnt want any problems with transfering them cause we could of easily stayed in the Soo to finish off the year. We were told more then once by phone and email that it would not be any problems. So we make the move and were told the kids can start for the new year. Next week is the new year. So we go to each school and do all the paper work each conselor says no problems. 4 kids 4 schools and I'm not happy as it is. Well other then the learning disabilities all was done at the point. (Back in May) Classes were picked out for 3 kids and not the oldest.
Well the conselor at my oldest school was being a complete idiot. We explained how his transcript was what classes he had and such. Being brain dead person she is just could not get how his math credits could be given since it does not say algebra 1, 2 and crap. Sorry if we teach the kids more then algebra back in Canada and no you will not give him those credits as something else. Ok so now i'm more then ticked off, I learnt along time ago not to let teachers and what not tell me what to do. So now they also don't want to give him the credit for the classes he did not complete in the SOO cause they couldnt be nothered to enroll him back in may to finish his classes, something we tried to do. I'm to the point of saying f-it i'm outta here this is total bs and i'm not through with them yet.
There is no way any of my kids will loose any of the credits cause they were to lazy to enrolle them in may. If they would of said sorry if you move down here in may we cant give them the credits well i would of stayed till the finished the year. I now have to wait till next week to call the schools in the SOO and hope the conselor and principle will be able to give them the credits since these ppl are useless.
I still dont even know forsure if my second oldest was given all his credits, cause his conselor gave us the impression it was no problem it was all done. I'm about to freaking kill someone here soon. So now i'm off to read more about home schooling that is if i can calm down enogh.
Sorry about the typos my spelling sucks and now i'm ticked off so i really cant spell

Wow. I'm sorry you seem to be getting the run around with the school system. Some of what you say is hard for me to follow. One thing...and correct me if I'm wrong, is that you moved down in May, thinking that the Arkansas school system would give them credit for most of the year they were schooled in Ontario? And you're angry about this? Sorry...I'm just having a hard time following this part of your vent. I'm sure the Ontario school system can outline the course content for the math, so that the Arkansas system can see what it is they were taught in school notwithstanding the name of the course.

Its not so much they wont wont give him credit from the courses from Canada its the whole bs of them running us around after we got confirmation that if we moved in may he could continue his classes and not loose the credits. But they were too lazy to bother enrolling him for the remaining of the year. We comfirmed more then once that transfering at the end of the year would not cause problems. We were told flat out that the kids would not be penalized for the move. By a head of education, and the day we went to enroll him the school consellor started being difficult.
If they would of said anything that would of even gave me the impression that he would not get credit we would of stayed in the Soo. But the school board and director told us more then once before we made the move that it would not be lost. Even the day we registered them she confirmed the credits would not be lost. And now they don't want to give him credit. Thats what has me pissed. Now it probably would not be so bad but my second oldest when he got registered into his highschool the conselor there gave him his credits from Canada no issues at all, so far anyways.

Gah!!! most of my "co-pays" are around $50.00 each tooth for work done on my fillings.. i'm SURE i could pay for it out of pocket in Canada and it not be much more than my "co=pay".. gah..
Did i mention the $500.00 crown is AFTER insurance
I think it has something to do with Cigna requiring the Dentist to send work to a lab OVERSEES as opposed to a local lab. The Dentist refuses to send it overseas and quite frankly i don't blame him one bit.

She moved from Houston to Atlanta to live with her daughter. Thank god not here with us (did I just type that?) My mother in law is diabetic and her daughter is pretty strict with her on her diet, etc. I think she likes the freedom to do what she wants and eat what she wants when she is here. She never used to come this often when she lived in Houston. And Houston was a much shorter drive.

I wish it was that way with all state jobs. I have a state job, family dental, and I still have to pay for fillings. Copay is like $50. All my old fillings are beginning to need replacing...now there's some good news. NOT. The only way we can afford to have good quality dentistry is for both of us to have family dental plans...and our daughter will be going into braces soon.

Register here on the National Do Not Call Registry. You will still get calls from charities and from political campaigners but the other 'crap' should stop.
https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspxIf it doesn't stop, then you can report them. If you are not sure who it is you can look up who it is and if other's have complained, here:
http://whocalled.us/And, if you want to know if it is a decent charity and one you might want to consider, you can investigate them here on the Charity Navigator:
http://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=toptenI noticed a substantial decrease in nuisance and solicitation calls after we registered. Good luck.

Grrrr - another USCIS vent. I check my status online everyday (although why I bother I don't know as there probably won't be any changes there for another year at least!) and it tells me it is time to change my password (the second time to change it since I filed . . . it is frustrating that people who filed at CSC 2 months after me are already getting approved . . . ). So, using the same information I have been using the last 3 months to check my account, I enter my information and my choice for a new password. It tells me that my personal information is invalid. So, I retype everything in case there was a spelling mistake or a wrong case by accident - and it repeats it - it is invalid. It seems to have been irrelevant that the information has been valid the last 3 months! So, I fill out the form to ask them to send me my user name and password that they say are invalid, and I enter my email address and it pops up my security question - what Street did you Grow Up On? I type in the correct answer (there is only one!) and it tells me that is invalid!!! Geesh!! So, I have just sent an email to their webmaster telling them to fix their system. I hate this having to change passwords every 3 months, especially when it seems to be such a hassle every single time. I had to start a whole new account for my I-751 because I couldn't get access to the account I had when going through AOS and I really don't want to have to start another new account. USCIS website must be littered with abandoned accounts because people can't get access to them anymore. (Oh, and I did have another week to go before I had to change the password so that wasn't the problem). GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

That really sucks. Unfortunately, I know how that goes. I had to make a second login account for the AOS application because I couldn't get logged back into the one I had made for the I-129f one! I'll probably have to make a third one for when Réjean applies for removing conditions and a fourth for citizenship!

How annoying Kathryn!
You have to wonder at these web people who create these security steps - I mean, my bank doesn't even make me change my password!
Why on earth you would need to change your p/w every 3 months for an online status checker is - well it makes no sense.

I feel for you, but the solution is not to vent but write to the head of USCIS, a Mr. B.L.Z. Bub.

There you go again trying to impose logic into an arbitrary, irrational and capricious process, bad Trailmix

. The whole system is based on a novel by a man named Lear.

Of course, if you want a job, this is not the area to live in .... (I'm not at all bitter am I?).
We are actually thinking of moving to CT possibly or back to GA if hubby cannot find work.

... I think we'd have a tough time convincing Sikorsky to move up to NH
Awe... I hope you two can find a solution very soon... of course CT would always love to have you back..

Honestly though.. some people I'd like to kick in the head..
I tell person A if you go about this immigration thing this way it will lead to disaster.. how will you support yourself, how will you know for sure about his sincerity etc....
Person A goes and does things in a rash manner with little thought etc. of consequences. and now is like "what should I dooooo... ooooohhhhhh poooor me...""..
blah blah blah.. I'm sick of the yanging.. honestly.. GAH!
