Hey everyone.. so some of you may remember my MOH fiasco... well her friend, the other bridesmaid, just wrote me an email.

Hey Liz

I just thought that I would let you know that Jenny is really, really hurt and upset by the way you left without speaking with her.

Jenny takes friendship very, very seriously and gets hurt quite often from a lot of her friends.

She really wished you reached a little further out to her (perhaps a phone call) before you left.

She said if you had called and expressed that you really wanted to see her before you left she would have come to your going away party, but she felt like it really didn't matter to you either way. We spoke about this last night.

This is probably based off of the fact that apparently when you asked her to step down as the maid of honour, you started off by saying "I don't know if our friendship will withstand this," or something along those lines, which gave her the impression that you had no faith in the strength of it at all.

I tried to explain that you thought you did reach out with the text and e-vite, but Jenny thought that was very impersonal and since you sent them to everyone else as well it was obviously not specific to her.

She's really hurting thinking that her friendship meant so little to you.

If that is not the case, I think you should try to get that across to her.

A written letter or a phone call would probably be best. (Not email).

Just a suggestion.

With friends like that, who needs enemas? laughing.gif

Ok, I just don't understand what the F is wrong with the Canadian Government. First, they completely botch my immigration. Now, the CRA is auditing (a desk audit of sorts) my husband's 2006 income tax return. They had an issue with him claiming me as a dependent because I didn't have SIN. After responding the basically the same question (Please provide your spouse's SIN and if your spouse doesn't have one, explain why), they issued me a temporary SIN, long after I had moved away but whatever. Then they come back and are questioning the credit he took for rent paid and asked for all 12 month's canceled checks. Fine, my husband goes to the bank and gets his copies at $10/per copy. Submits them and now CRA says some of them are illegible and to provide better copies. WTF, its all the bank had to offer. He has 1 week to get them something else or they throw the entire claim off the return. Naturally, they don't accept the lease or bank statements showing the checks cashed, only copies of the canceled checks. We paid just under $20k that year in rent and I think the CRA should just cease to exist because they don't know their heads from their arses. Or perhaps, let a private company contract their work and perhaps people in the business world can figure something out.

Now, he is self employed and has to have a WSIB (Workers Safety Insurance Board) account to work at a specific job site. He is not required by law to insure himself, but there is no way to get an account number without insuring someone. wacko.gif So, it's actually cheaper to hire a part time employee and insure them to insure himself (based upon his wages). So, he does just that. He calls and calls and calls and requests that a Certificate proving he has an account be faxed to the builder and weeks later, the builder has not received anything. So, finally, after about 1 week of trying to talk to a live person, he is told that they won't fax out the Cert until he makes a payment (this was early Oct). Fine, how much do you want? $400 is the response, just as a down payment for the 3rd quarter. The actual return for the quarter is not due until Oct 31. My husband goes to the bank and makes a payment of $400 and the Cert is issued to the builder within a few days. About a week later, my husband gets a bill from WSIB wanting $3,600. He is like WTF and calls them. They took that $400 as a 10% down payment of some kind and estimated that he must owe the rest and it is all simply made up numbers by the WSIB. This is all prior to the return actually being due. So he explained what had transpired the previous week and the woman still doesn't understand why the $400 doesn't equal a 10% down payment of insurance premiums actually due...He filed his return and is actually owed a refund. Bet he doesn't see that anytime before the world comes to an end.

I am just baffled that Canada is still a surviving entity...

*whew* i feel better.. i think

Ugh...I am trying to get my vaccination documentation transferred over to an I-693A..

Actually, all you have to do is send them a copy of the vaccination document; you aren't required to submit the I-693a. Since Canadians receive their immunization information before we get the visa, USCIS already has all that information in their file. The request for the I-693a is only there because some consulates allow K-1's to wait and get their vaccinations when they're in the US.

are you sure??

I heard some people sent it and got an RFE.

These doctors are all stupid. They are telling me that I need to get an entire physical again.

Me: "I already had my medical in June"
Lady:"Well you have to get another one"
Me: "No I dont, I just need the information transferred over!"
Lady: "Well we don't do it like that"
Me: "I have already had a physical"
Lady: "It's 300.00 per person would you like an appointment?"
Me: "NO!"

Yes, I'm sure. I'm among a number of people who did it that way, with no resulting RFE. The RFE's come because some USCIS workers don't know policy & procedure as they should.

Here are your options.
Here's an explanation.

Here's the civil surgeon who will do it for $10:

Dr. L.E. Arnold

All doctors are telling me they don't just transfer information over.

So I will send this document.

Ok I need to vent about the NVC - again.

As of today they have had our file for 5 months. They have had all required documents since October 9th - almost 6 weeks - and yet they are just sitting on it.

Now I understand they mess things up periodically, it is the nature of the biz. What I don't understand is that when you call to have it escalated to a supervisor it takes 10-15 days for them to even look at it.

Obviously something is wrong here, whomever has our file on their desk has fallen asleep, or wandered off or quit.

I mean reaaaaallllly.

Not that I know anything (1st yr RN student) But I aint going to sign off on another medical procedure (physical) that some one else did, simple as that. I have no clue what is required for the AOS, as I was a CR-1, but I can see why a Dr would not simply transfer over physical results completed by another DR. he didn't do the work, thus he can't sign off on them. Again I'm not sure on what u guys require, I'm just chilling, lol

My Zune stopped working. It won't recharge itself, I have tried every available option and USB port available to me. GRRRRRR. I guess good thing I did pay that $30 for the replacement warranty. Going to march back to Best Buy tomorrow and get me a new one.

I spent 1 hour on the phone with Microsoft and they are tards.

That warranty can be useful at times. Normally I dont buy it, but a few times at bestbuy they offered the warranty to me at a discount price, and just my luck, the MP3 player broke. Was a simple exchange.

I dropped my maid of honor today.

I told her two weeks ago that we were going to be going to look at dresses on Sunday, December 2nd. I chose a Sunday because she said she was always free. I made an appointment and my husbands cousin is coming down too and we were all supposed to meet and go find bridesmaids dresses.

And yesterday I emailed her to remind her and she's like: "Ugh I have to work"

She has made 0 commitment to this entire thing. She has done nothing to help.

She has also hasn't been very supportive. When all that crap happened last week with my brother in law she told me to get a divorce...wtf??

She also said we should do a spa day before the wedding and make my husband's parents foot the bill.

I think she was in this more for herself than me.

OK, vent needed. The FOOOOCKERSSS at Alberta Health Care slammed us yesterday with a 400 bill for services on October 2.- WTFREAKINGFUKKK? We were en route to Seattle that day dammmmmn it. I called our physician (aka Dr. Love) and left him a message as in:

"Hi Dr. Love, this is us [insert Len and Bren saying Hi T.... quite cheerfully]. the ##$% - we think your billing secretary (who was always a b!tch and me thinks had the hots for Bren, the putrid hag) made a mistake, please give us a ring, etc."

now mind you, Dr. Love is Dr. Love for a reason - he is one of those few who goes above and beyond, so i thought I talk to him before writing one of my famously verbose letters to the AHC idiots telling them to grab their bill an shove it where the sun doesn't shine. OK, end of rant. mad.gif

So, SSA sent me a letter today basically saying that my visa paperwork doesn't show lawful status, so they can't issue me a card. WTF? They took five weeks to tell me that?

I hate how SSA is basically making me jump through hoops because they're illiterate and can't read the photocopied stuff that they took when I applied. Driving around with my BC DL has made me super paranoid and I'm worried that the five-o is going to pull me over and yell at me. dry.gif

I said:

Don't feel obligated to be in this, I know you have a lot on your plate right now. It's okay and I understand. In fact for your own good right now, I think its best you not be in the wedding. You have too much stuff going on, and you need to take care of you...

Grrrr! The main water line to our office needs to be repaired. So they cut the water off LAST WEDNESDAY (while I was in Washington State) and it is going to be off until they get around to sending out some people to jackhammer through our floors to fix it. This means we have to use the restroom in the office next door. Lovely and all, but there are two problems: (1) it is COLD out, so I have to put on a freaking coat just to go to the loo now, and (2) the people in that office all seem to hide, silently, in their own individual offices in the back. They have a receptionist desk at the front, but no one sits there, and when we walk in and say "Hello? Is anyone here?" no one answers or comes out of hiding the whole time we are in there. This makes me feel a bit like I am sneaking in and tresspassing just to use the toilet. It's really a bit creepy.

And there are still all the leaves in my yard and the endless waiting for my fiance's visa....

But the good news is we have booked a place for our wedding and they are willing to be flexible if we need to push the date back!
