what is the wait time for mumbai-packet 4 once it is issued from the consulate?

ours was issued on october 11th and we just got it today October 18

i will find out if they sent it by regular postal or courier service and all other details if u like

yes i would appreciate that if u could let me know by which service was it delivered?

I talked to my hubby and found out that Packet 4 traveled by regualar Indian Post which required a signature ... he said its called REGISTERED AD!
NO PRIVATE or COURIER SERVICES WERE INVOLVED

I dont' know much about indian postal service or methods that are used but I'm just letting you know exactly what he told me.

Thanks Dimp... I know about REGISTERED AD.... its is kind of special courier service of Indian postal serivce where the person whom it is for has to sign it and then the signed receipt of it goes back to the sender. In our case Embassy will get the reciept signed by us so they will know we have received it.

are u in mumbai itself ?if elsewhere then i think u shld wait for few more days .they recommend to allow10-15 days to get it couriered!

my pac was delivered late evening ....so imp. not to miss out!

I Am not in Mumbai, The embassy person said its been sent on Oct 25. When was your generated pretty and when did you get. Dimp got it within 7 days when the interview leteer was generated

Pretty r u in mumbai, did you get it through registered AD or speed post. I went to my post office they said they havent got it yet. I dont have the tracking number. I am so exhausted

Folks,
My wife just told me that she received her interview letter from Chennai. The letter was generated on Oct 23rd. So it took about 10 days through the indian mail system.

So for people who are waiting, hang in there, its coming

yes i am from mumbai and it took 7 working days for me.it was REGISTERED.but as i said be careful as they even deliver till late evening.u have to keep a check or else u miss out.....i think u shld wait till next week !

for a pack to be deliver in Mumbai it took 7 days. god knows how much it will take for me.... I am so restlesss... there is another headache. I want to be with my Life partner ASAP.... like within 2 days of my interview and I AINT getting any cheap flights. God knows what to do. And yet I am to face the CO offficer for interview. I am so worrried. I will have nervous breakdown for sure. ... I am reallly nervous people

Jigi I can feel your pain but you got to be a little more on the postive thought ... we can't see you having a nervous break down and hence things get delayed ..

Got my interview letter.... it toook 9 days or 7 workign days. In between there was strike of post office people and also sunday ..... A bit relieved now.
