Hi All, I got approved for both my I-129F and I-130 petition today! I received the email about the I-129F around 9:30pm tonight, and about 2 hours got the email for the I-130. Now the dilemma on which visa to go with. Lets say we decided to "tough it out" for a few months more and get the CR1 visa because its better, how would I go about cancelling the K-3? Also, what is the processing times now (realistically) for each visa to process for my wife to be able to actually enter the U.S.?
Wo is me. My life's work has been for naught. (Well, just what seems like my life's work since June.)
At this point you do not know whether you will have a choice to pursue the CR1 visa and you definitely never want to take ANY action to cancel the K3 process. Please read the following carefully.
http://www.uscis.gov/files/pressrelease/PN_i-129f.pdfUnless or until you receive confirmation your I-130 is at NVC, you are on the K3 path, not two paths from which to choose.
Lol, don't worry Pushbrk, I actually listened to your advice and knowledge quite a lot, so its not past me. I thought this would be the case, but I couldn't find any information to actually say it, but luckily you provided the USCIS press release above. we're going with the K-3, which was our intent all along. Now the real fun begins.....
