Hi VJ buddies,

My husband and I are going to send out the AOS package on Wednesday and we are just going over the details. I do need some help with form I-131, part 7. It states " On a seperate sheet of paper, please explain how you qualify for an AP document and what circumstances warrant issuance of AP. Include documentation..."

I am not sure how Rich qualifies. We are just kind of applying for it because it seems like most people on here do. He isn't going back to England for any particular reason, he just wants to be able to visit in case the green card is delayed by a long time.

Any help or suggestions?

Also, the fee is still $1010 for everything, right?

Thanks,
Jenny

Hi again Jenny!
I've just replied to your post abt marriage cert copies.

Above fee covers all 3 applications if filed together or if EAD and AP filed after you receive NOA1 for AOS so you can prove you filed AOS already.

As for AP - you may simply say that you want to visit relatives, go on a holiday or honeymoon. If your husband has elderly relatives who are of fragile health you could say that you want to be able to visit should the need arise, in case of AOS being delayed. You could also state that you have no documents to support the claim other than your plans and desire!

Most people apply for AP as you never know how long before you get GC. Some plan to travel and some pay for it "just in case" ...

Shhh... don't tell anyone wink.gif but, If you are like me... you won't say anything, just tick "more than one trip" and get your AP 10 weeks later.

Thanks Ausqueen. I think we will do just that and say we simply want to go on honeymoon and visit his parents! We'll see what happens:)
