sadly waiting
Hello to everyone. Hamdulelah my husband will be here tomorrow after 15 months apart insha'allah. The question I have is do we have to apply for a work authourization document (EAD) and SSN or does the immigration send it automatically. And if we need to apply then how much do we need to send?

He has just been issued his immigrant visa (CR-1) case

He will get a stamp in his passport at POE and this will act as a Temp Greencard and it is good got work and foreign travel, until the real one arrives takes about a month) he should get a SSN sent to him if he checked the box on the form asking for one... if not then he can go to the SSA office and apply for a SSN...
