Hi

I'm wondering about the process after the interview for a CR1 visa. I believe the embassy in my country puts a stamp in my passport and gives me a mysterious brown envelope which I give to the immigration officer at the POE in the US. What does the POE do? Do they give me something else in my passport or a green card straight away.

We are temporally residing in Canada so we can be together and will need to come back here after we enter the US. We're wonder if this will be a problem?

you will get a stamp in your passport that will act as your green card and is good for a year.... the actual green card should arrive in the mail within a month or so...
