Thanks for all the replies, its great that we can support each other during the wait.

I know there have been delays for the NOA1, I saw that VSC is just now processing the I 130's from the end of July. My God!!!
I think that since many people tried to file before the fee increase in July, there might not be so many filers for August. I don't know it just may be HOPE talking but it's logic to me. Maybe now they will speed it up a little.

Anyway, are there any October Filers around, it would be great to keep in touch and to be able to compare timelines.

Hi Kristy - We filed in Oct and at VSC too - it looks as though we're in for a long wait!

We posted our I-130 to CSC in October. I guess it will be mid November before we get the NOA1.

USCIS VSC received our I-130 package on 08/03/2007. Nothing so far and as of yesterday and the new update on the receipt notices VSC is still stuck on 7/29. So, still no movement. 4th week in a row and I don't see them moving anytime soon. This is starting to become very frustrating.

I don't know about I-130 NOA 1, but I sent my package 0ctober 4, 2007. My checked was cashed 10/09 and NOA1, 10/12/07. Yes, from Vermont. I think they have different standards for both petitions.

oh, man. this does not bode well.

We filed our I-130 to Vermont on August 15 (receipt date from post office), no check cashed, no NOA1 as of yet.

I just got confirmation 10-15 that they received it. I don't have any confirmation yet of check cashed.

hey can you let me know when you get your Noa 1 cuz i havent recieved mine yet either and we filed around the same time ...olso do you know of any other people that are on the 3 month waiting for NOA 1 to come in

Another week as gone by and there's still no change from VSC - still on 29th July! Has anyone tried calling to see why they are so far behind CSC - I don't really understand it as CSC are processing three SC but they are ahead of Vermont!

I tried keep my mind on other things and not be obsessive with this whole procedure, but my God! no NOA1 yet. How could it be that VSC is still processing the July filers? I mean we are in NOVEMBER...!!! ITS NOVEMBER.

So now I have a situation. My sister is getting married in February and it would be a perfect chance for my husband to meet my whole family. Is there anyway I can get him to P.R. on a tourist visa? From what I've heard I think I have the same chance as a Snow Ball in Hell but has anybody been able to do this?

No NOA for the I130, sent Oct 1, but oddly enough got an NOA for our I129f in like a day.

Hmmmm....this seems to be the case with most filers of the CR1 and then the K3. Did you put the type of visa on the outside of your package you sent in to the service center? I am wondering if they open all packages but just throw aside all the I-130's and proceed on to the I-129's.

For those filing through CSC there was good progress last week. I reckon within two weeks they will have caught up on the naturalisation applications and will then start on the I-130s. Even then I suspect it will be early January before us October filers start getting the NOA1s.

Hmm... that there is an interesting hypothesis....I wouldn't be surprised!!!
At this point, nothing will surprise me about this process

My I 130 was sent on 12th sept to CSC. still no NOA1. we called them they say to wait 90 days. n in the meantime if the cheque is cashed they say we can apply I 129 with a copy of the cheque...

I am not even going to start looking for the NOA1 until January. It's rather depressing, but it keeps me sane.

You do NOT have to wait until the check is cashed - we just sent a copy of the check and a copy of the I-130 and we got our NOA for I-129f the next day from receipt.

Don't wait, would be my advice!

This works unless you are doing the CR-1/IR-1 only.

Yeah, I know, but the poster said "they say we can apply I 129 with a copy of the cheque" - so they don't want to do the CR-1/IR-1 only.

My hubby and i were originally going to just apply for CR-1 because it's such a better visa but looking at the possible wait times we said what the heck.

I filed the I-130 on 10/17/07, have not received NOA1 nor has my check been cashed. Also, for I-130 TSC filers.. I heard that our cases will be transferred to CSC for processing as only Vermont and California Centers do the I-130 processing. Anybody's check been cashed yet?

I'm just as frustrated as everyone else who is also waiting for their NOA1 and for their check to be cashed. I've sent my I-130 on 11/09/07 and recieved by NSC on 11/13/07. As of today, nothing heard and check not yet cashed. In the USCIS website, it says that all forms current. Does this mean that they are not behind in processing or just simply not updating processing dates like other service centers? Both of my husband and I are very worry. PLEASE......... where is my NOA1?

Hey, we sent our package to our jurisdiction TSC but it was transferred to CSC so that might be the same for you too. I wouldn't worry, its nothing personal. There are people that have been waiting since the beginning of August and September for their NOA1. If you look at the USCIS receipting Update, it says as of December 7th, the app.'s have been trasferred, yet again, to Chicago Lockbox for data entry.

hope I was able to ease your mind.... at least a bit. It definitely isn't easy.
