Some of you might remember what a horrible time we had with getting my husband's EAD. We finally got it at the end of July and we looked it over quickly to make sure it was okay.

Last night we made a copy of it to include with his AP application and noticed that his birthdate is one day off (says 20 instead of 21). We didn't catch this because 1) we were so excited to get the damned thing and 2) it's very hard to notice because of the reflection of the card.

What are our options? Since it's been so long since "approval", should we leave it as is and hope the green card has the correct date of birth (or change it if we have to get renewal EAD)? Should we book an INFOPASS appointment to change it?

I'm really, really hesitant to call up the information line or to just send the card back because I highly doubt it will be resolved. We definitely put in the correct date on the applications, plus they had the copy of his birth date on his passport...why do these errors happen so frequently??

The BD on the EAD probably isn't nearly as important as the GC. You might want to check with the USCIS, maybe they had a typo entering the data so the GC could be incorrect with it is issued also.

That's a good idea. Would he just call up the information line and get in touch with a representative to ensure that they have the correct birthdate in their system?

My first EAD had my birth year as 2005 on it.....I sent it back in the paper holder it came in ...of course kept a photocopy and I added a letter stating what was wrong.......I got a correct card back in about 2 weeks smile.gif
