The above message, I thought, is only when they have recived the DS3032 and almost ready to send the IV Fee bill.

It is also important to mention that, since not all immigrants require affidavits of support and it is a rather new (only 10 years) requirement, the IVR has no messages for the generating, receiving, or review complete of the Affidavit of Support. However, it does have a special IVR message when an RFE is generated from Affidavit of Support review:

Affidavit of Support RFE:
"The NVC has reviewed your packet of forms and found information missing or incomplete on your financial information. The NVC sent a checklist letter on ... "

These notes were noted as I went along the process with NVC. You are right, they are two identical messages however when the IV Fee Bill was generated it says something "...6-8 weeks" as opposed to a message when the AOS Fee is processed which has the key words "...within few weeks"

Just wanna correct this. The NVC just mailed me the DS-230 and the Automative message says

A packet of information and documents was generated on (Date) and wil be mailed within next few weeks

So, I believe the above message is for DS-230. Is this message going to be changed to the one you have ?? I am sort of confused here!!

Can someone confirm this? My DS230 message was different or this may have just recently changed.

In my case the automatic voice is telling me....package of information and documents was generated on sep. 17 and you will receive it in the next few weeks. What this means. I have nothing else since than that..In my timeline it is just a guess that they generatet the I-864.Thank you.

I had the same message , already 4 weeks ago, but never received the 864 package also. I wonder like you if this message is for the DS-230. Maybe somebody has an idea.

This messaeg is for DS-230 generation and NOT for I-864. For I-864, you need to talk to the operator. And it should not take that long. Are you in Germany or in the US??

I am in Germany. When the message is for the DS 230 whats going on than with the I 864.I called the NVC and talked to a lady . She sad that the Ds 230 and I 864 were sendet out on sep. 17. But that cannot be, or. Is it not the way that the AOS comes first.And what is with the fee.I am so confused.

The I-864 and the DS-230 have nothing to do with each other, they are totally separate even if they generate them around the same time. Once you pay the AOS fee of $70, they will send you the I-864 and once you pay the IV bill of $384, they will send you the DS-230. And once the NVC reviews both of them, they will complete your case.

Most likely, you will not get the forms that they mailed you. I wish you get them, but one great option you have is to use James shortcut and mail them both I-864 and DS-230. Mail these two separtely, ok. They are two different things. Please read the James shortcut. They are very very helpful in understanding the NVC process. Good luck to you!!

I believe they generated my I-864 and DS-230 applications at the same time. They put the following message: "A packet of information and documents has been generated and will be sent within the next few weeks..." but no specifics of what's in the packet. Plus, it was generated on the 8th and nothing received yet.

Call the NVC again and talk to a live person to find out what the message means. They should be able to tell you which forms they will be mailing out.

ok, I got this same message last week,"A packet of information and documents has been generated and will be sent within the next few weeks". It was for Ds-230 and then I called back on Saturday and check the AVR again and the message has now ben changed to "The NVC is waiting the Biographic form".

So, this means that NVC AVR has two messages for DS-230. Does anyone else have same experince???

I have had the same messge "a packet of info was generated on October 8th..." since October 8th. How do I know if it was actually sent? I have received nothing yet...
The operator said it was sent, but hmmm.....???

The only way to find out is if the NVC operator said they sent it. That's pretty much it.

Sme here was generated on October 8th didn't get it yet

In my case after acknowledment of IV fee payment I got the following one:
"NVC is expecting return of the biographic forms by the... " It was on Oct 15th and as of today it is still the message I am getting from IVR. I think this is the new message for DS-230 generation. Better it is because I sent out my response last week and they received it this Monday.

I just checked the status via NVC automative info and it says that on November 2nd they recieved BIOGRAFIC FORMS (my ds-230 and AOS was sent)

they added one more phrase beside of that (on November 2nd they recieved BIOGRAFIC FORMS ) and awaiting for Aos forms or AOS bill (when I talked with the operatorshe said that they got both forms and it takes time to review them) so that messages vary from case to case as I see it

DS-230 Receipt:

What is meant by this phrase? What is the checklist letter? When I generate the DS-230 coversheet and barcode, I had the impression that this letter is the only thing I need, is that true, or what is this checklist?? I haven't seen that anywhere...

Can someone please explain what this means and when I can expect to hear this message?

The checklist is the DS-230 instructions.

For some strange reason, they use the same IVR message for both the DS-230 submission and a RFE submission...

Good morning all;

I mailed off the IV fee bill and it was delivered to NVC and Mike's dad sent in the I-864 and USPS showed that it was delivered but After checking the system every night I never received any message that it was received nor entered into the system.

Last night I called again and received the following message. What does that mean? We never submitted any documents except the IV bill and AOS.

NVC has reviewed your packet of forms and found info missing or incomplete. NVC mailed a letter on 11/29/2007 indicating what doc missing or incomplete. Please return the missing info to the NVC in and allow 6-8 weeks for review and you will be notified of the results?????

You said that they received the I-864, the message can mean the following:

1. they are reviewing your I-864
2. I-864 RFE
3. completed reveiwing I-864, however waiting for your DS230

It's best to call NVC and ask which from the 3 is the true message.

I think I will just wait for the letter since they "claim" they mailed it out 11/29, and see what is now needed. I am waiting for Mike to return his civil documents and the signed DS-230, so I am not in a rush right now.

We thought that that checklist is RFE regarding Hubby's I-864. But the checklist just requested my DS-230. did this happen to any of you? and is it normal?
