Can someone briefly outline the process for obtaining an emergency AP ... here's what I know so far:

1) Apply for regular AP and get receipt notice
2) Get INFOPASS appt.
3) Go to local office and state your case

Now what???

If they local officer approves your case,

Are there any additional processing fees?
How long until you get the paperwork?
How is it delivered to you? On the spot, or via the mail?
Do they deliver via USPS or FEDEX/UPS/DHL?
Is your case updated on the USCIS.GOV case status website?

My wife and I plan to go through the process and I want to understand what to expect.

THANKS !!!!!! smile.gif

When you go to the infopass appointment you will need to take evidence of the emergency ie. fax from the hospital or funeral home... if it is approved they usually give you the paperwork there and then... some offices will ask you to return the next day and some mail it out to you.. if you have already applied for the AP then there is no additional charge but you will need to take 2 passport sized photos with you along with the receipt from you AP application....

Good Luck
