kicking.gif kicking.gif YAY!!! kicking.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif

Finally sent off the I-130 and started my countdown today, even though I've been hanging around VJ since July waiting to have all the necessary pieces of paper. I'm so happy we can DCF cos I don't like the sound of Appointment Processing.

rose.gif Just wondering if there are anymore people in the beginning stages of the process knocking around, lurking and such.

When I joined, there seemed to be people at all stages of the process, as they have progressed down the line, there doesn't seem to be as many people starting off. Maybe it's just cos the more complicated stuff comes later on, so you don't need to post much, but I would love to hear from anyone who's about to file, or has done so recently. Problems shared and all that...

Hehe, I'm almost 6 months into my process so not fresh blood... unfortunately, you're right, it is really quiet on the new-petitioner-front sad.gif

We sent ours in on September 10th and have a processing date of the 13th. So I'm just kind of hanging out and waiting waiting waiting.

This sucks, especially since when we did the K-1 two years ago we went lightning-fast!

Well I suppose there aren't that many of us then!

Ah well, maybe we'll find some more as the process wears on. It's good to know other people going through at more or less the same time to make sure that timelines and info are up to date.

Thanks to the two of you that did reply though, I suspected there might have been a few lurkers that would be tempted to post, but ho hum.

Hi guys!
I've been lurking for a couple of months, getting a few answers to questions before we'd even posted off our appliaction - love this forum! there's some great help here.

We're at the beginner sstage too, tho' a few weeks ahead of you. We DCF'd in London on Sept 15th and got receipt on the 18th, but not a peep since then.
I know it's early days yet, but the waiting's tough! How're you guys all doing?

Surviving. This is *much* slower than our K-1, and I'm not too good at waiting! Gr!
Mrs W.

I sent in my I-130 last week.

See my timeline...

Yay it arrived, and actually it had arrived last friday.

I posted before, questioning the bit on the checklist where it asks for an email, even though there's no box for it, and I'm very glad I did. I just wrote both of our emails on the bottom of the I-130 form and my OH got an email on Friday to say that the petition had been received. Course my oblivious OH didn't tell me about it till yesterday, and didn't know what it was, it was only today I realised it was from the embassy, and the process was finally underway.

Now for a lot of waiting....
