Had my interview on friday, Oct 5th, and was approved!!! It was the longest 36 hour jaunt of my life!! Flew from Vancouver to Montreal on thursday (5 hr flight), took a taxi to my hotel (la Tour Centre Ville--right across the street from the Consulate). Took a nap once I got into my room.

Couldn't really sleep that night, alarm went off at 6am (eastern)... Was at the Consulate by 7:15am, already about 10 people in line. Got through security, and was approved about 3.5 hours later. UGH!

Back to hotel to check out, took a taxi back to the airport, where I had to wait another 5hrs for my flight. Flew back home to Vancouver (5 hrs), home last night by about 9:30pm....... In bed by 11pm got a good nights sleep. Now just patiently waitng for my husband to hopefully call from Afghanistan so I can tell him I was approved!!!

We're already married, and they only do those interviews in Montreal. I only live 30 mins from the Vancouver Consulate, so you can imagine the names I was calling the airline website as I booked my $800. flight online!!! haha... I'll be happy when my envelope arrives, but won't be moving for a while. My husband is deployed until Jan/Feb. (Hopefully he'll be back by then)...
