So I wrote the governor and asked if he could get any info on our case. Received the same thing as the last email from the Embassy - which was maybe over a month ago. Said you're still in Administrative Processing, no way to know how long it will take, blah, blah, blah. So we've really had enough of this and I'm thinking of going to Cairo for 2 weeks. I don't travel on planes well and was wondering if anyone would be traveling around the same time. I'm thinking of leaving the US about Novembe 2nd or 3rd and returning approximately November 16th or so. Please let me know if you'd be interested in going the same time.

I'm wondering the Cairo will let the Administrative Processing go for longer than one year? In the letter from the governor, they said that they don't know what's done in Administrative Processing - isn't that the buggest mystery ever.

I know several people are going. I just can't remember who they all are.

I can't go until next May at the earliest It's coming up on the tourist season in Florida and I just started a new job

I know there are some people going in November, but I can't remember either.... I'm sure they will post soon

I am leaving for Egypt on 11-2 and returning 11-12 - - I already booked my flights about two months ago I think....Boston to Amsterdam and then Cairo....

I wish I could go. My husband keeps asking me if I can come during Christmastime again. I hate that he asked that 'cause I don't want to think that he still won't be here by then. I really don't know what I'll do if this goes much past January. I mean I promised my girls that I won't go again for a year or two but my husband really really misses me and i really really miss him.

I have been starting to think about going back to Egypt. I have not seen my man for 21 months i have lost my mind and him too. We miss each other so much and i don't know how much longer A/P will last so it definetely an option before the year is out.

Hi, we've been talking about me going there again, but we said we would discuss this after EID. Anytime after October 26 is good for me, but we haven't really set a date yet, that's why I waited to reply you. But when we check out for tickets, i'll definitely have your date in mind. At least to go there (i think my stay there would be longer). By the way, even if we get different flights , we can at least try to meet up in the airport, and exchange info, insha Allah. Plus we can make plans to picket the embassy together! JK

We tried to avoid me going there (to save money), but this visa thing is taking longer than expected. I'm still hoping and praying the visa will be here before he buys the ticket.

Anyway, if i do go, it would be great to see some VJ members there and hook up, cause i do consider you all my family too.

Was just thinking...when everyone gets here in Egypt why don't we have a VJ reunion!! Wael and I would love to meet everyone in person...what do you think about it? Wael and I have already met one couple here from VJ last night and was so nice comparing our timelines and venting!! So guys think about it and perhaps we can all finally meet with our SO's...

I am planning to return as soon as we get our interview date...(need noa2 first.... ) So not sure when im going back again...But would love to schedule it with a travel buddy....I dont rent a flat though as we are not yet married and my SO wouldn't hear of me staying in a flat with no security (do we REALLY need security in Cairo???) Anyways...Ive not been waiting nearly as long as some of you and this process is already driving me nuts. I really feel for those of you that have been waiting sooo long...

I can't go until after the first of the year which I plan to if Sam has not received his visa by then. Wael and Jean if you are still there then would love to meet up with you then, but this is still a long way off I know. I wish I could go sooner, but I have no time off from work until after the first of the year.

Maybe we should make a list of the dates when everyone is traveling. So we can see who will be there and when. So we can make a VJ get togeather night. My dates are

My dates: Sept 29- Dec 23....We are in Alexandria

Finals are over Dec. 14th so right after that until....TBA. Still haven't decided for certain about going or not. A lot depends on what my advisor says which I meet either this week or next, and what my meeting with my older brother says on Oct. 13th. He's getting married next summer.

My dates are 11-4 (I actually travel 11-2 oh my) to 11-12 - we will be in the Alexandria area....

You know Doodle, I was just thinking, earlier this year Yassmine bought her ticket to go visit her fiance because his AP was taking so long and 3 days after she bought her ticket he got the call. Maybe you should think about going...that goes for the rest of you still waiting too.

During AP process nothing can be done. Trust me I have called everyone. I spoke to someone named Herman who is a big wig at the embassy. Just hang on through AP process and when it is through they will get in touch with you as they did me.

Well I promised my daughters I wouldn't go that far away again for at least a year AND now that my youngest started going back to daycare I have a $300/month expense that I didn't plan on. I am flat out so it's a big fat NO for me.

I'm going to Egypt for the summer from 5/12 to 8/16. Anyone coming in that time meet up with me. I am sure I'll be bored as he!! with the hubby working and me nothing to do but read books.

I fly out of LAX and with British Airways go to London then to Alex. If I go Lufthansa, I will go to Frankfurt then Alex. cost is around $1030.00 to $1300.00, so far that I have found.
