Hi! We moved across country and didn't bring our car. We're planning on having it shipped to us in the next month or so. Any recommendations for shipping companies? Any companies we should stay aways from?

Have you considered taking a flight (cheap-return) across US and driving the car to your new home?

(note: whenever I've moved--even as much as 1,300 km/810 mi--I've actually driven my car to destination first, then moved the stuff later).

I'd have to search and look it up, but there is a website that lets you put in all your requirements for shipping (kind of car, dates of shipment, cities) and you'd get back 5-6 different quotes. It sure saved you from entering the same information into 5 different websites.

We were able to compare prices too. We had a car shipped and it cost us about $900. (From west to midwest). But it was worth it not put the mileage on the car (and the week ito take off from work to make the actual trip).
